TERRIBLE instructions, find a better one
The instructions were awful, I spent 10 minutes just trying to figure out how to take out the chip from the enclosure, they didn’t include any direction for this. The easiest way I found was to plug in the usb c port and pull slowly and it should follow. Hopefully save you the headache. Also the screws and labeling and pictures were not clear or intuitive. On a positive note the drive works fine, but for the time and effort I went to install it I’d rather buy something else. No comment on reliability or durability yet. The front plate doesn’t stay flat and is disappointing and makes the product look cheap.

Makes a great portable external drive
This is a pretty good enclosure. The performance was pretty good with a MX300 1.1 TB M.2 drive and the same whether I used a USB C to USB A cable or USB C to USB C. The only minor issue is that the cable would disconnect if it was bumped, but its probably not an issue with the enclosure itself. I added strain relief for the cable and haven't gotten disconnects since. The enclosure is so small that the cable you use really matters, since certain cables probably weigh more. I think a short right angled USB C cable would be ideal, so it would be easier to place right next to a laptop.
