VOCs and Active Mold Test - Indoor Air Quality by Home Air Check

Excellent product to get lab results rather than trying to figure out what kind of meter you want and then make sure it's calibrated correctly. Very easy to set up and painless to return. They sent me one email saying that it had been received and the estimated date for results and then the following email was the result. I will definitely use this product again if I need to do any kind of air monitoring.

This testing system gave a good description of VOC contents of my home. It was very easy to use and setup. I had some question of how long to run it as the times required were different for different contaminants and I did not know which ones to expect. I just had general symptoms of contamination; itchy eyes, irritated throat, and congested lungs. None of these were present prior to moving to this house.T^he results were not I was expecting and have no idea how some of these got into my home. I was expecting formaldehyde and sulphides from contaminated Chinese drywall. A better source potentials descriptions would have been useful. I was not able to determine the possible sources from the internet either..Therefore I am still not sure how to go about eliminating these VOCs. The most concerning one is the methylene chloride. I have never painted any part of this house and do not use solvents for any activities. No gluing, finger nail painting, spraying except for a disinfectant occasionally in the bathroom. I am familiar with the smell of methylene chloride and never noticed any obvious odor from any of my activities. ..

I bought this kit to test the indoor air quality of my home. It is a thorough test, and the instructions were easy to follow. The report came back via email when they said it would, and I was able to learn more about my home and sources of potential air quality issues from their report.

Solid AQM instrument that records in real time the presence of what worst bad thing are in your indoor air. HCHO (formaldehyde). i.e. It can be in your furniture and releasing gas into your space. It will kill you or make you very sick.tvoc are fumes put out by any number of liquids stored in your bathroom or under the kitchen sink. Pm2 are dust particles small enough to take residence in your lungs and accumulate over time to affect your ability to breath, Living with COPD is not a good future. PM10 are bigger particles of dust that you usually blow your nose or hack and spit every morning. life could be better. CO2 is body output either from breathing exhale or body gassing, high readings will go down if you take a shower more often. If you are a male living alone with a dog, you may have wondered why the dog no longer snuggles anywhere near your arm pit. Action needed for a better quality-of-life going forward. Buy a HEPA air filter sized for the room space in sq ft. Put instrument if in worst room space and close door. Place at air intake for one hour and record the six measurements every ten minutes. I needed to test the TVOC in my new build and within a week I had my results back. Keep in mind that you do have to send the meter back and it is just LOANED to you to take readings

Their product info did not mention that I was only renting not buying the testing machine. Product info said tested for mold, formaldehyde, and other volatile organic compounds but it did not say I had to buy a tube for each test at about $100 per. I would not of ordered the machine if I knew the total cost.

I really appreciate the thoroughness of this rest. I tested my new home a year ago and we had elevated voc’s (no surprise- from products still offgassing). I just retested and all of our values are now normal a year later. Thank you for the piece of mind and ease of use for this test!

Very easy to use. Shipping was fast and turn-around was fast as well. The report showed little or no issues in our 100+ year old home, which surprised and relieved me. The directions were easy to follow. I received the package, ran the test and sent it back the same day. The report was not difficult to read, though it would have been better if the actual report had been at the beginning instead of the first 2 pages being background information.I feel better with the reassurance of little-to-no mold particles or VOC's in our home... now to tackle the catalpa trees in the yard!
