Amazing product, I love it
I love this shaker so much. The construction is superb, as it is mostly metal, and the idea of putting an ice "puck" underneath the shake is genius, keeps my milk-protein shake cold until after my workout. The top is sturdy and hasn't broken like the shakers I purchased from Walmart, and it doesn't stink like those do either. I can 100% recommend these to anyone who needs a shaker, as I have already wasted my money on three Walmart shakers whose lids have all broken on me in the same place. Save your money in the long run by investing a little more now in something that will last a long time. Hope this review was helpful.

Looks can be deceiving - not a functional shaker cup
I will preface this review with a short backstory that led to my purchase of a MetalShake shaker cup.In my past experience with shaker cups, the plastic lids usually end up cracking from the repeated twisting on and twisting off. The producer of those bottles did not sell replacement lids, and I got fed up with buying an entire new shaker cup just to remedy my broken lid. This drove me to look for a stainless-steel version of a shaker cup. This one seemed attractive enough when compared to the others on the market, giving off the appearance that part of the lid was made of steel as well, which would be more durable. This partially influenced my choice of MetalShake versus competitors. That was my FIRST disappointment with this shaker cup: the steel you see on the lid is merely a thin sleeve. It serves absolutely no purpose (other than looks I assume) and actually led to a near accident for me: I was holding the bottle by this part of the lid when the bottle slipped through the sleeve and nearly fell to the ground. My SECOND disappointment with this product is the swiveling cap. When snapped closed, it is entirely too difficult to open back up. The entire lid itself sooner popped off of the bottle before the cap would open. This could certainly cause an inconvenient spill. My first thought was I may have not have threaded the lid on properly, so I meticulously put the lid back on, only to find that it was still ridiculously difficult to pop the cap open. The amount of force required to open it actually broke the "flanged" portion of the cap off within a week of having the bottle (SEE ATTACHED IMAGE). This is unacceptable for a brand-new product. My THIRD disappointment with this product is the seal between the lid and the bottle. You would think with a dedicated seal component, it would seal properly – this is not the case. Despite careful detail to threading and making sure the lid is tightly secured, I experienced leaks when shaking this cup. This is simply unacceptable for a brand-new product that is marketed as a shaker cup.My FOURTH disappointment with this product is not as major but a disappointment nonetheless. The screw-on compartments are really just not tall enough to be efficient. What I mean is they are too shallow to easily put protein in them with commonly sized scoops without spilling onto the countertop surface.I’ll say that this bottle is not ALL bad. There are some qualities of this bottle that are likable, but I include them here last because they did not make it worth my money. The bottle looks good and has a nice, solid feel in your hands. The rubber grip on the bottom is a nice touch. The stainless-steel actually can be cleaned much more effectively than competitor's plastic bottles, reducing risk of residual odors. Again, these are not pros that make this product worth the purchase. The cons listed in the above paragraphs, in my humble opinion, are more than enough to tip the scales against MetalShake. In short, BUYER BEWARE. Find a different product if you’re in the market for a shaker cup. This product is a pretty, polished piece of garbage. It simply does not perform as a shaker cup should. My advice to the actual manufacturer would be: FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION. Make sure your product functions well before trying to doll it up and make it look pretty.
