Hello,Thank for your question. 8ft*7ft,it is enough to install 2 lights,each bulb is independent,and it will not affect other bulbs if it is not installed. But if other bulbs are not installed,it will not be waterproof, pls pay attention. thank you .

Hello,The distance between each light is 41 inches. These is a size chart in the product picture,which shows various sizes in detail. The grow bulbs can also be installed on other lamp holders(E26).

Q: I have a bare spot outside that is pretty shady for my bermuda lawn, it has couple of runners but not enough to cover, will this encourage growth?

Yes, these lights will encourage growth of grass. I experimented on a few small areas in my yard that were bare and they are now fully covered with St. Augustine grass. I placed the lights about a foot above the area, very similar to the way I grow seedlings. I also spread some 13-13-13 in these areas and kept moist. Hope you have the same experience I had!

Q: I putting a garden in that only gets filtered very little direct sun light due to the trees should I use these during the day or at night?

Most plants would not do well receiving light during both the day and the night. Every plant requires a different amount to survive/thrive. My advice, leave the light on during the day to supplement the very little direct sun-light.
