Trading For Dummies, 4th Edition

IMO, there is value in it, especially if you like what you're reading, and returning to it continuously, to get the deeper instruction. While I would not be surprised to find out the author is a successful trader, for me, it was, and still is, a non reference, reference book. But that iscl how I've come to find all "Dummies" books. I've read more than a few, on more than a few different subjects. I find their 2nd edition books to be worthwhile to me. I find their technically written books, lacking in the depth needed for a beginning book. The series, in general, to me, seems cookie cutter. But, thats just my opinion.

I love the “For Dummies” book to learn the basics of a new subject or to get a simple and clear view of a subject I’m already familiar with. They always explain things in a simple and fun way, and this book was no exception.

A good all-round introduction to trading, both from a long, short, futures, options, etf and forex point of view. It all tied up nice in the end.Highly recommended.

And it is always useful to go back to basics. The graphics and charts are well done and informative. There is a recommendation on "improving your listening skills" (page 114.) It is in reference to listening during earnings calls, but we could all use a refresher course on listening.Finally, the book comes with a discount code for Stockcharts.com, the charting site that is used throughout the book. Listen... how can you go wrong?

Great information for the "dummies" just getting into investing.

I found this book disappointing in terms of contents and level of content. It certainly ranks at the lowest end of any trading book that I have came across. If you know anything about this are then this book is too basic for you.

I think this book there is another important piece in the jigsaw puzzle that I need to put together in order to build up a decent knowledge base prior to letting myself loose in trading. I would like to express congratulations and gratitude for this text.

I like this book because it well explains an introduction to the trading world and gives you good hints on how to proceed on future steps based on your taste and objectives.5-stars? not for my taste, but a very good book though.

I read this book after "investing for dummies". A lot of repetition of general subject, but more details and technical analysis.

Book arrived fast, a very informative book for beginners. Somewhere to start or something to use for a reference while studying.
