Don't open the fabric until after it's on the pole
I recommend not opening the fabric until after putting it on the pole. I had unfolded the fabric only to find out that I would have to refold it to get it on the pole. I had to be careful when refolding it so as to not damage the fabric. The fabric is nicer than I expected based on other reviews. Yes, it has winkles, but it goes on taut. My main issue with the lamp is the controller that comes with it. It seems that I can get only the solid colors red, green, blue, and white. I wanted other colors, such as gold, orange, and violet. I love the multi-colors feature, it's just that I can't make the colors stop at any one pattern. It could be too distracting to use in the background for Zoom although I was able to slow down the speed at which it cycles through. I was also expecting the lamp to be a little brighter. I'll keep the lamp though. It is a beautiful lamp.
