Killer Guy Fawkes Anonymous Cosplay Mask Resin Hacker Halloween Party Costume Props

I decided to go with a "V for Vendetta" mask for the 2020 Halloween weekend at Texas Renaissance Festival (COVID-19 ensuring I'd be wearing a mask regardless). I looked at all of the cheap masks on Amazon and decided to take a gamble that the extra money spent on this one wasn't just the seller putting an indecent markup on a cheap product. I'll note now that it seems that the other reviews describe several different iterations of the mask, so know that my mask was ordered through Amazon Prime in October 2020 and arrived within a day.This is a sturdy mask, not some "Spirit Halloween Store" grade one-use junk that is paper thin and going to crack in half at a moment's notice. I found that the mask quality was good enough that I upgraded my festival plans from "my regular Ren Faire garb with a V mask" to "full-fledged 'V for Vendetta' in the Renaissance" cosplay. My mask weighs 126 grams -- that's 4.4 ounces for my fellow Americans.There are two firm, cylindrical pieces of foam on the inside of the mask for keeping the mask from resting directly against your face -- one for the forehead and the other for the chin. The foam came glued to the mask, and it keeps it far enough away that I didn't have trouble breathing. With one point of pressure being on your chin, you're not going to want to talk too much. The upside is that when I did talk, I didn't move my lower jaw and actually sounded somewhat like Hugo Weaving (watch the man act -- his jaw barely moves when he speaks). So if you, too, are a Texan who's lived in New Zealand and thus speak with a hard-to-nail-down-geographically accent that most Americans think sounds Australian, then you are be in luck.The mask is secured to the head with one broad (1" wide or a little more) elastic strap with a buckle to adjust tightness. My hat size is 7-3/8, so I had to let the buckle all of the way out, but I didn't find it uncomfortable. The elastic slips through loops molded inside the mask.The paint job on the mask is done well. The mask was delivered in a bubble wrap envelope and sustained no damages or scratches in transit. Likewise, the mask wasn't scratched from being in a bag with other items after I removed it to more easily see where I was going late in the afternoon on the day of the festival.Field of vision is severely restricted in this mask, but that is just the nature of the Guy Fawkes mask design. Mashing down the foam to bring it in closer to your eyes helps.I didn't have too much of a problem breathing with the mask on. I wore the mask somewhere between four and five hours outdoors on a 20 degree Celsius (68 degrees F for those of you who measure in American) day before deciding that I was just going to wear a cloth mask for the remainder of the day. Considering that I consumed a staggering amount of adult beverages in that time before deciding I needed to breathe a little easier, that should speak to the comfort level of this mask.Definitely recommended for budget "V for Vendetta" cosplay or for the protestor who is concerned about quality workmanship when hiding his or her face from the Gestapo.Pro: A sturdy, high quality mask good for cosplay or for protesting against a fascist government leader who is profiting monetarily from a pandemic (is that a commentary on real life at the moment or the plot for the film version of "V for Vendetta"? Why not both?). Foam pieces glued inside the mask keep it away from your face week enough that you can breathe easily enough.Cons: The pressure on one's chin from the foam gets wearisome after a few hours. The elastic strap needs to be longer for people with bigger heads. Also, I'm going to have to spend a lot of money to flesh out the rest of this outfit that was such a resounding success at TRF and will probably become my definitive TRF character. That's not really a con, mind you, and not the manufacturer's fault outside of showing you how good the quality of the mask is.

Nice thick plastic resin. The foam forehead pad is not attached/glued on, so I am deciding if I want to cut a little off and glue down for over the cheek bone area too. I wish the mask was a little smaller by 10%, but as a one size fits most adults, I understand if the proportions are a little big for me as baseball caps give me the same issue. There is one spot in the eyelet that has a tiny bit of resin that I need to file down, but otherwise no other issues with the quality of the product.I also received this a good two weeks in the mail before the estimated delivery date. The package was shipped directly from china in a square box with the mask in foam like expensive electronics.I have not dropped it, and while it looks and feels rugged enough to survive the impact, I do not know if the paint will scratch easily or what was used as a paint (enamel, acrylic, etc.) or if it was given a top clear protective coat like Krylon clear matte.

I took a chance on this mask because I wanted something that was high quality and true to the same painting schema as the mask in the movie. The other reviews were dead-on. This mask is what the other masks that are sold on Amazon should be like. Its high-quality resin, very thick, and the strap is a nylon strap with a clip that adjusts to the size of your head, and is elastic so that you can slip it on and off. The only drawback to this is, if you're going to wear it as a mask out in public or at a party, that the nose holes aren't very big, and it fits very snug to your face (at least it does to mine), so breathing is a bit easier through the mouth. Other than that this mask is perfect, especially if your intent is to display this on your wall. It would be super-awesome in a lit shadow box with the wig and the hat...

This product is made out of a very thick plastic. It has weight to it. It is definitely worth the money and I can see this mask lasting for 10+ years.

Very high quality plastic for the mask. 2 soft spots, one on forehead and chin area makes it very comfortable.
