Into Your Darkroom Step by Step

A Complete Resource
This is an excellent resource for beginners. THis book gives you information on how to set up a darkroom, develop film, make proof sheets, make prints, and also gives some basic troubleshooting techniques. The layout is very convenient. Every page had black and white photos to demonstrate the technique being presented, so there are no chances to make mistakes. If you're a advanced photographer, you probably don't need the information in this book. If you're a beginner, this book is a necessity. As for me, I'm a casual photographer and I don't have my own darkroom. I rent a darkroom about 4 times a year. When I go to the darkroom, I always review this book the night before. That way I can refresh my memory on the darkroom process. If you are such a casual photographer, I can recommend this book for that purpose. Check it out.

Just Perfect to get Started
I used to have this book along with another back in the day. I grew up with a dark room in my house. I took photography in high school just so I could get an easy "A". Now that a friend and I are talking about putting together an "old school" darkroom, I searched all over and found this old standby. It's a perfect "get you started" book.

A necessary for the film enthusiast!
Excellent book to have if you are still serious about film photography, and wanting to work with printing photographs in your own home lab. I highly recommend that you get this book while they still have some left, and the distributor of this product was quick, fast and courteous.

Nice book but a little outdated...
I picked this book up as I recently got into shooting 35mm and have never developed my own film. Great reference book.. the content is a little outdated. however it answered some questions I had about the film developing process.. this book only covers black and white film developing. Still a nice book to have.

Good intro
A decent, follow-the-steps approach to the subject. Another reviewer suggested it would be better if it were spiral or ring bound, so it could lie flat on the table. I'd second that. Otherwise, just what I wanted.
