Marineland Nook Aquarium Kit with Built-In LEDs and Hidden Filtration, 3 Gallon

I looked for a long time for a product that had a filter suitable for a betta. This seems to work very well so far. I have had it for about 2 months. It is attractive and the adjustable filter is a great feature.

I ordered this aquarium for my betta.The filter that comes with this kit is ridiculously large for a 3-gallon tank. I was happy to see it was adjustable, since bettas do not like strong current, but even on the highest setting, the flow was extremely light and created zero surface agitation. What resulted was a pesky protein film that was impossible to get rid of. I ended up buying a new filter.The lid is awful! Flimsy, and has gigantic gaps. Many species of fish are jumpers, so this is a major design flaw. I cover the gaps with Tupperware lids which is also unsightly.Do not recommend.

I love the size of this tank! Perfect for my betta. As others have mentioned, the lid is pretty flimsy but this doesn't bother me too much. Comes with a filter which is a plus-it has an adjustable flow and the lowest setting is great for betta fish. The filter, however, is HUGE. I can't fathom why such an enormous filter is needed in a 3 gallon tank. Seems to work well though and is virtually silent. Lighting is good as long as you aren't trying to grow plants as well. Overall a good purchase for the price.

My fish loves this tank its so roomy for him and now he loves to swim in circles! It was worth it to seem him perk up. I won't ever buy a smaller tank again. This size is perfect.

I am not very pleased with this aquarium. The lid simply sits on the top of the tank (the listing may have said this, but I did a lot of researching between different brands and my brain got overwhelmed). And the lid is entirely flimsy and does not even set straight on the tank. The filter unit is gigantic, goes all the way to the bottom of the tank once rocks are added. The LED in the lid falls out quite frequently and the cord never stays in its "tracks". It's just in general a shoddy piece of equipment.

I bought 2. They have a great design. The negatives are the 1. The lid is opaque and doesn’t really sit well. It’s not attached with a hinge so it just sits on top and can easily fall off or into the tank at an angle. 2. The filter is huge for the tank and takes up precious space. I bought a small, hang over the back filter. 3. The LED is OK- my Anubias are hanging in there. They are better than the 2 gallon Fluvals any day of the week. There aren’t many small tanks out there so would recommend. If they fix the issues with the lid, it’s a home run.

I really enjoy having this 3 gallon aquarium. It was an upgrade from my 1 gallon tank for my 4 Golden Barbs fishes. I just was so sad that they didnt have much swimming space so with the Marineland 3 it gave my fishes more room to spread out. Id recommend this aquarium if you have small fish like a Betta, Tetra or Golden Barbs.

Totally overpriced product. Lid so flimsy and badly designed you have to be careful not to drop it in the bowl every time you try to open the tank. I do like the low flow of the filter and the LED light is a good tone, offers a cool effect. Shortly after buying this I came across a much sturdier and better designed tank for way less money. Needless to say the betta is going in the new one.

That was exactly what I was looking for, to be used for a small beta fish.An excellent price was also a determinant.

I sent it back! Substandard quality! I would not recommend purchasing this tank.
