Not for a dog
I bought this product to thin the hair around my dog's face but it wouldn't cut the soft, fine hair. Maybe it would work on the coarser hair on a horse. I dont know. They seemed sturdy enough but they just didn't work for the purpose I bought them for.

Don’t expect a hair cut
These were incredibly dull and the joint was in need of oil. Very hard to open and close. My Yorkie is still shaggy.

Cheaply made
They don’t cut, they pull. They also came apart the first time I used them.
