Overall, this backpack is fantastic. It's good quality, sturdy and comfortable for both me and my cat. I have just a couple reasons for not giving the full 5 stars. The main reason is that the front of the backpack is very floppy and doesn't stay upright. I included a pic so you can see what I mean. I thought maybe it was just because it was squished during shipping but after stuffing it to help get its shape, it still didn't hold its shape. I feel like this could be easily remedied by having slots on the front inside with removable sticks or wires or something equally sturdy. That's something I can probably add myself so I'm not too concerned. The other thing that bothered me was that the safety tether was a bit too short. My cat couldn't really sit comfortably whiled hooked on it. Again, easy fix, I just added a bit of length to it myself.Anyway, all other features on the backpack are great: the two buckles on the front, the sturdy back and bottom, the side pouches and the collapsible water bowl is an awesome little extra. I feel like the pros easily outweigh the cons and you certainly can't beat the value so I highly recommend this backpack.

I got this to carry my 15 year old toy rat terrier. She used to be very active but is slowing down in her senior years so this was perfect to have when she stopped walking on our hike. She is about six pounds but has longer legs but she fit very well in the pack. The flat bottom is great since she could sit and support herself. When she was not in it, I wore it on my back and the extra pockets for water and cell phone, etc were great. When she got tired, I would switch it to my front since she prefers to keep her head out and watch where we are going. The carrier was comfortable both on back and front. However, we were hiking on well defined gravel paths. We started to head into a more "rustic" path but that did not work for me carrying her in front, as I could not see the path well enough for secure footing. If your pet is okay riding in back, I think it would be fine. FYI, I am a petite female (5'2") and small chested. If you are a larger chested female, it may not be comfortable to carry in front. Overall, I am very happy with the pack for the price (to be fair, I have only used it for this week of vacation).

I am road tripping with my cat and we will be hiking through several national parks, so I am looking for a quality backpack that's comfortable for both me and my cat (8lbs).I really liked the style of this backpack, the quality of the material, the pockets, the collapsible bowl, etc. but it isn't the most structurally sound. It won't stand up on its own and collapses in on my cat while he's in there. The backpack is advertised for pets 5-8lbs, and although my cat is at the high end of that weight range, he has no room to move and is completely cramped. The mesh windows are great but at really awkward places, so he has to cram down at the bottom to look out. The leash is also an awkward length, so if you do decide to hook your pet up to the leash, they can only look through the small side windows.Overall, if you're looking for a solid backpack for outdoor use (hiking, backpacking, cycling, etc.) I would go for the PetAmi Deluxe Pet Carrier. Although it is a little more expensive, it has a better structure (It will stay up on its own without collapsing), it has great pockets, it is much more spacious, and just as comfortable as the Premium Pet Carrier.

Wow i love it its exactly what I've been searching for it's not small enough not big enough it is perfect it stands alone and it's not too hard or bulky i can fit my two small real teacup Chihuahuas that way about 2 pounds and three pounds 6 punds all all together I love this it fits perfect enough in front of my feet in my car as passenger and it is very well-constructed looks like really good quality it's actually very comfortable and the support on it is amazing the straps gives it a lot of support overall the whole backpack weighs less than a pound I chose the all black one because I wanted that camouflage effect where it's not that noticeable or flamboyant so that it catches everybody's I I don't like my dogs being touched very much sore handled because I'm a germaphobe and this bag gives me that it's comfortable in my front and in my back overall it's a great investment so far yes I definitely would recommend this product. I think this might fit in between your feet if you were going to be in an airline I hope that answers any buddies questions but then again I'm very tiny myself so my favorite part is that the straps are very very adjustable and it comes with that hard pad so my dogs can sit on and it really gives them that stability i love that ill be able to wash it if any accidents were to happen. I love that it's completely collapsible and easy to hide and I can put it anywhere and I can say OK minute take the dogs to the park today to my husband soccer game or indoor soccer game and it's easy to be ready and go

I use this for my 16 lb, indoor, cat. He barely fits. But he loves to go with me so he lets me lock him in this. I've been able to carry him on my front to allow his head to hang out, which he enjoys. I have no doubt many, if not most, cats would freak out by how small this thing is, so I consider myself lucky I got a good cat. Other than the small size, the base does not have much padding, so right where the base touches your spine you may end up with a raw line, or line of a blister. Wish they would have added a cushon there, but, other than those 2 things, this backpack is fantastic. Its a lot more sturdy than I thought it would be for the price. This was the cheapest pack like this I could find on Amazon, and I am thrilled with the results. If I thought it would fit more animals I would give it 5 stars. And if I was judging just based on my experience taking into account the cheap price, I would give this 5 stars. But, if you don't need the cheapest one of these, have an animal larger than 8-10 lbs, and/or can find one that doesn't rub your lower back, I would recommend spending the extta few bucks.

I’m so disappointed that this didn’t work out. My cat is average size and was squished in here. She’s not an overweight cat by any means but there was no space for her. The bottom is a small square so she couldn’t lay down and her sitting up she had to duck to fit. She hated it and cried the whole walk up the street. I take her on walks in another carrier and she’s fine, so it’s not normal for her to cry in one. It would be great for a kitten, not an adult cat. I’d take a picture to show everyone but she refuses to get in it again. Read the dimensions carefully!!

Tengo dos gatas de 3 años y son gorditas. Tenía mis dudas sobre si mis gatas cabrían en esta mochila, pero caben muy bien sentadas.Ellas miden 45 cms de largo (sin contar la cola).La mochila viene con un plato plegable y trae como una tablita de plástico duro con peluche de un lado, lo que hace que la base sea sólida y cómoda para ellas.Para que los gatos se acostumbren a cualquier transportadora recomiendo dejarlas abiertas en el suelo para que puedan entrar y salir libremente.

But I’ve only rated 2/5 because my cat is a pretty small cat for an adult and he barely fits. My other regular sized cat definitely wouldn’t be able to fit in it and be able to move at all. It’s a really cute design. I wish they made one just a bit bigger

Perfect size for my 3lb chi yorkie. It has durable mesh and his little claws haven’t damaged it. Comfortable on your back. My 13lb shih tzu can also fit in with his head poking through the top a bit. However the clip attachment for their harness is difficult to grasp but def works

Great waterproof fabric, sturdy, safe, hard bottom so dog is not squished ! Well-ventilated ! The bag and straps are very comfortable for biking without backache. Would recommend :)
