I thought I was going crazy. I read the SD card from my trail camera with SmartQ Dual Slot Card Reader. I put the SD card back in the camera, formatted it (I thought) and put the camera back out. All the same pictures were there when I checked the camera. I discovered that the SD card Lock switch had been flipped. The cheap camera gave no error when the format operation failed. Turned off the Lock switch, formatted the SD card in the camera, and put it back out. When I checked the camera again, I watched as I put the SD card in the reader. Sure enough, the side wall of the deep slot flipped the Lock switch. This might actually be a feature if you don't want to accidentally erase your pictures. Just beware and flip the switch off of Lock before putting the SD card back in a camera.

The SD card adapter was delivered quickly and worked well. Only problem I had was with the product description. The title made it sound like each device had two slots, but the product description was not clear. Hard to tell if one device had two slots, one for an SD and one for a MicroSD card, or if I had to buy two that had one slot each. Managed to find a picture that showed the two slots in the side, so I only needed to buy one.

+++ PROS : I have it for a month and it works perfectly, very light and portable for travel, very fast transfer, i am very satistied of this product. ---CONS : The USB cover could be better. Its very easy to open but hard to close (see the video). It can be open easily while you are carrying it, exposing the jack. this is fragile... It does not cover the jack completely so dust can enter in the jack (see photo) but in fact it can enter in the SD card slots, so you better store this card reader into a pouch or a compartment in your bag, if you are traveling like me and want to keep it clean and working for years. >>>This is not a big problem so for the small price i give it 5 stars !
