Works great!
This is my second one. My first one lasted many years until the charge port broke. This camera has a much better picture. I use it to backup and connect to trailers behind my Pickup camper and to connect to my 5th wheel and my son’s goose neck dump trailer. Take all of the guess work out of it.

Awesome product! A pleasure to use.
I mounted the camera on my tailgate, and once I set the correct camera view, I backed right up to the trailer hitch and locked it in place. Perfect! Box trailer is way too heavy to budge by hand; this product eliminates so many trips back and forth from truck to trailer. You won’t regret having this product!

I Can Backup Clearly Now w/ apologies to Gladys Knight...
The product requires no instructions to start using it quickly. Putting the battery in and pushing two on buttons is about it. You need a small Phillips head screwdriver to insert the battery into the camera. When mounting the camera on the tailgate of my Ford F150, it worked well and connected nicely with the in cab camera. Picture quality was very good. I would like for the stem of the camera that plugs into the 12 volt outlet to be longer so the camera could be brought up to a higher eye level. At its current length, it raises just to where my hand hits it when changing gears on my automatic transmission. I could move it further away to avoid this but I have my CB mic stationary at that point.I had hopes that I could place the camera on the rear bumper of my 30' trailer and be able to use it going down the road to monitor traffic conditions behind me especially being able to see when I had clearly passed vehicles and could return to the right hand travel lane. Unfortunately, the distance and barriers between the camera and monitor are too much for this to work. The picture broke up when I tried this. Of course, the product isn't sold with that purpose in mind so I don't consider it a product negative. There is a reason that Camping World has a $600+ camera/monitor setup for that purpose. My uncle has the same camera and his only negative report was the battery consumption. Packaging indicates that the product should get 2 to 3 hours usage on a 9 volt battery. He reports he doesn't get anywhere near that time. I haven't used mine but on one trip yet so can't confirm his findings.I like the portability of the iBall setup as I can move it from camping trailer to utility trailer quickly and easily. The overall quality of the camera, especially the depth perception, is better than the rear camera in our Prius.

Great product for the price!
Can not say enough good about this package, very pleased. I bought this to help when backing up to both my camper and boat hitch and it works perfect, strong magnet with adjustable camera angle, very clear image. Was a little skeptical from some of the reviews but have not had any problems whatsoever and very glad I bought it. The screen is a little small but for the price I can not complain, and the small screen is plenty sufficient enough for the purpose. I have also used for the purpose of pulling my dual wheel camper up on leveling blocks, simply place the camera on the ground pointing at the blocks and you can hit it perfect every time. Have also used when backing my camper in my driveway for use behind the camper to see how close I am to my house without hitting it. I first tried putting on the back bumper of the camper but the image was not good enough (29ft camper) however I set it on the block wall beside my garage/house and the image is very clear even from approx 40 ft away and works perfect, I'm guessing there is just too much metal between the camper and the truck to be able to receive a clear image when mounted on the back of the camper. I did not purchase with the intention of using on the back of the camper, so it was a huge bonus to be able to use on the leveling blocks along with backing up to my house. Highly recommend for the price. My only complaint I could think of was I felt it needed some kind of thin, soft material on the base to keep from scratching the paint of what you are mounting the base to, however I'm the type that is very picky about my vehicles and my truck is black and I attach it about 1/2 way up the tailgate, so I have been just putting a paper towel underneath it since I pull it right back off when I'm done. Plan to glue a small piece of cloth material to the bottom in the near future.

Did not work after a few uses
Bought about 2 years ago to hitch trailer… it worked great the first 3-4 times I used it. It sat in the trailer for approximately 6 months and when so charged it and tried to use again, it REFUSED to pair. We have tried all manner of resets, YouTube videos, and manufacturers recommendations (only offers how to repair which we have attempted). This seems to be a very common issue with this brand and all models as we have tried 2 now.UpdateI filled out the form on the manufacturer website for assistance. The company said it was a known issue and was covered under warranty beyond the limited warranty. They sent me a new unit and asked to have the old one returned. Well, I’m happy with the customer service, it is disappointing that this seems to be an ongoing and repetitive issue.

Worth every penny!!
I just love this camera so much, not just because it works amazingly but also because I, like many others, can now avoid the arguing while trying to back the driver in. I just place the camera on the back of the trailer and he just then EASILY backs the trailer. No more fighting, F bombs or threats of selling the trailer anymore :-). Honestly would highly recommend this great piece of kit.

Perfect for hitching up
Great little camera, easy to set up. The monitor is very small, but once I put my glasses on it was easy to see. I bought this specifically for its designated purpose. Clear and dynamic colour for such a small product. I placed the camera on the back of my trailer and drove for awhile with it on.My trailer is 34ft and truck is 22. When the vehicles are in motion you will get some distortion due to bumps and uneven pavement, so its not really good to use as a regular review camera. Nice thing was that the view can be rotated to give you different aspects, and finally, both camera and monitor are easy to remove after hitching up. Glad I got this. Recommended.
