I use these for meal replacement shakes. I think I have purchased 4 of the 4lb jugs already. I LOVE Trutein shakes. No grittiness, no yuck after taste. Smells just like vanilla , I had it in a ziploc bag to make a shake at work and you could just smell the bag and know . I use to drink other shakes that were absolutely disgusting, literally almost vomitted while drinking one. These are fantastic. They are pretty filling and help curb your appetite. The last shakes I had were very high in sodium and I didn’t like that. These are low in calories , sodium, and have so many great ingredients incorporated. I get vanilla a lot to mix/blend my flavors. I add extracts , almond, maple, raspberry, coconut to give a different taste sometimes. Also I add powdered PB or cocoa powder. Fresh fruit at times , there are so many things you could do with them. A great shake .

Trutein really is the best protein powder out there. It mixes a lot smoother with water than others (texture). I personally don't like all the flavors, but it tastes like what the flavor says it is. The banana doesn't taste like the "old timey" banana flavor in taffy -- it tastes like the ones you get at the store now, the flavor of the whole shake is reminiscent of banana pudding. The shakes are actually thick if you use 8 oz of whatever liquid, and they thicken up (just enough to notice a difference) as they sit if you leave it overnight. I think it tastes better with unsweetened plain almond milk, so I mix with 8 oz milk, and top off with 4 oz water. I purchased once from Amazon to give a try (also ratings), but I purchase from the manufacturer site now (body nutrition). There's usually a better price. Samples ship free.

I needed a backup protein powder due to Naked Nutrition's unflavored protein blend being out of stock. This one fits with what I normally buy from Naked Nutrition, and I decided to try it even though I try to avoid added ingredients. This is the best protein powder I have ever bought so far. Even better than the Naked Nutrition that I normally buy. I use protein powder to reduce excess belly fat and replace it with more muscle. When I use other protein powders, I maintained or gained a little weight and built more muscle. With this protein powder, I lost ten pounds and gained muscle in about a month and a half. It worked faster than the other protein powders and the results surprised me. I would give this a five-star review, but the artificial flavor and additives is what makes me hesitant to buy this full time. This seems like it would be best to consume occasionally rather than for several months straight if you are concerned for your health. Scientifically, I don't know what would happen if you used this long term. The protein included is healthy enough for you, but artificial flavoring and additives is not good for your health long term. I am curious about whether this would have a negative effect on your health even though the protein powders are providing health benefits despite the artificial flavoring. I didn't come across any health issues or anything concerning when I consumed it for 5 days a week until I ran out of it. Even though I don't think too highly of the additives, the taste is really good and there's not too much added sugar to make it really sweet. The last thing I just wanted to add is I hope they either come out with an unflavored version that has no additives or consider other healthier alternatives to replace the artificial flavoring.

Smells tempting and tastes delicious, I might like it more than my all-time favorite Cinnabun. It's interesting how almost 10 years after learning about Trutein Cinnabun on a random Reddit post, it's still the best tasting protein powder I've tried so far - hands down. And the protein ratio, if true, is such a good value too. Now I'm excited to try the other two flavor samples I bought.

I have never been a big protein shake person. Chocolate flavor is good just too minty for me. Mint was pretty strong in this. No gritty or bad aftertaste, just not my favorite.
