Mustang: Wild Spirit of the West

This book was very well written. It had me captivated the whole time. I finished it in a few days. Heartwarming story.

I read this nearly 50 years ago as a child, and it had a profound effect on how I viewed wild horses in America. Now, I am making a gift of this to my grand-niece, who is an enthusiastic 7 year old reader.It has very nice illustrations, spirited, and anatomically correct (as opposed to cartoonish). They are done in black and white, and I hope that it will also spark her artistic endeavors.Aside from being a good read for a young horse lover, it also shows what people -- and children in particular -- can do for effecting good changes in our country's legislation with compassion.

The plight of the mustangs, a courageous effort to save them demonstrates that one person can make a difference by inspiring others of all ages. Worth reading no matter what your age!

This replaced our copy that was chewed by someones dog. The copy is an original like the one that was damaged and fits our purpose well.

Ms. Henry has such a way with character building, and I love how she builds her stories around fact. This story has loads of heart to it, and is a touching story for kids of all ages. It also discussed legislative process and how anyone has the power to fight for what they believe in and make a difference, no matter where they come from. A must read for any horse-loving child or adult.

I purchased this book for my Granddaughter after she got a Mustang for horse shows. Thought it may give her better insight and connection with her horse. ❤️🦄👍

I am so happy that I stumbled upon this treasure. If you care about horses and want to be inspired about Wild Horse Annie and her legacy of advocacy, this book is for you. This should be a movie...for sure!

Great book of course. No one debates that. I was a bit surprised to see an inscription. I had over looked that it was a used book. But that's fine.
