I know that Amazon does not permit customers to use the Review feature in order to complain about the terrible service from Amazon.However - since Amazon had forced me to change my password twice in the past few days after it blocked my account, has refused to allow me to view Amazon movies, and then has sent me an upgrade to the Amazon Prime app, which allowed me to play a part of one movie only (this movie, The Marrying man), which I did not get to watch in its entirety, and the Amazon phone reps that I argued with did not have any authority or information on how to address this mess - this is the only forum that I have express my anger.The movie is very simple and slow. It involves the infatuation of an immature, irresponsible playboy (Baldwin) with the gorgeous Kim Bassinger, during the interesting times of the late 1940's and the 1950's when rich, immature players played with the hearts of hollywood starlets and played at being gangsters. The dialogue is just cartoon -simple and the characters are simply stereotypical morons hanging around the the players to enhance their cool and glamour. But if you love Bassinger and like the time period of these kinds of movies e.g. if you were born then, then this certainly worth a look. Not at all in the class with Humphrey Bogart, but fun to watch.That is if you get to watch it. I only got to see the opening scenes, including Bassinger's hot singing act. That was over the course of an hour or so, as I interrupted my viewing experience to call Amazon and argue with some phone reps and then got to sign in again and again, resetting passwords, going around in circles about wrong error codes that Amazon sent me to explain how to fix the wrong problem with my computer. And now - after about 16 hours, not 72hours - the movie is not available on the Prime Video app. - just on the regular Amazon website - which does not allow me to show movies at all

Like to see older movies. Like how the story went easy to follow. Found out the two main characters fell in love in this movie and where married.in real life. But latter divorced.

Let me start off by saying that my 5-star rating is for Kim Basinger's singing of these fantastic old songs. The DVD itself boasts no real extra features, so it deserves 3 stars at best. Toward the end of the film, I experience a few glitches, but that may simply be with my dvd player--you may not have the same problem with yours.The film is charming. It is predictable, but still an enjoyable experience, thanks mainly to Kim Basinger. (By the way, I was not a fan of her at all until I saw her in this film.) Her performances of songs like "Let's Do It" and "Honeysuckle Rose" may be considered too sexy by purists, but considering modern sensibilities and the fact that she is supposed to be singing in a Las Vegas club in the fifties (the decade of Marilyn Monroe), I think her approach is perfectly fine. Her "stage presence" during these numbers is scintillating--I would love to see her perform music like this live in concert. The musical arrangements are fantastic also.

I remember seeing this movie in the theater years ago. I didn' t remember too much about it. It was cute. A young Alec Baldwin and a young Kim Basinger. Not an amazing epic or iconic film, but that is ok

I had never heard of this movie & some how found it on Amazon & read some reviews & figured what the heck, for less than $5.00 I can get Kim Basinger in blu-ray. She is so nice to look at. It's a fun movie to watch, if you like Kim, or for you ladies, Alec. I can't compare it to the dvd quality as I have never seen it in this format, but the blu-ray is pretty nice & the price is right too. I say if you like Kim or Alec go ahead & get this. You will probably like it too. I can't believe how really good Kim sang either. Really unexpectedly nice. Did I mention how NICE Kim looked !!!!!!!

I have to say that I love this movie! I've been trying to find it on Netflix for years, however, for some reason they have never added it to the streaming movie list or their DVD rental list, so I decided to break down and just buy it. I have purchased a few older movies on Blu-ray, and in many cases, it's not worth buying the Blu-ray over a DVD because of the resolution of older movies, however, the quality of this Blu-ray was better than other older movies I've purchased.

The movie is an oldie but so good. I had it on VHS for years, moved got rid of all my VHS tapes sort of sorry for that, but life is full of right and wrong decisions. This movie will make you laugh and think about life and the opportunities taken and missed. A great movie for girls night have a laugh and think of the possibilities...

I just like the movie and it goes great in my vast collection.

DVD was new great price it was a film I watched years ago so was happy to find it on amazon

i ordered it and awaited the delivery of this it turned am very very very happy with it if not i would be asking for a redound i only with that i wanted i for Amazon to post next day for free

Elisabeth Shue, Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin are some of my favourite actors. This DVD arrived in perfect condition.

It is one of these movies you can watch many times and you do not get bored it is romantic and funny
