Amazingly entertaining book to read!!
This book is pretty much like the modern-day Harry Potter... but in an even more interesting way! Sam London offers adventure readers a classic story in his globe-spanning adventure as he learns that “mythical creatures are real and living among us in our national parks.” Between dangerous government secrets getting exposed and life-changing discoveries along the way, readers are in for an action-packed journey page by page until the end. I recommend this book to everyone, especially for people between the ages of 7-16. Honestly pumped to dive into the next book in this series, which I saw is already published. To the next Sam London adventure!

Fun read!
This was a very clever book. I bought it because the author was from my hometown. I liked the concept of featuring national parks and I wish the book had done that more (I was thinking fun road trip book with the kids) but except for that small minus, it was a very enjoyable book. I like that all of the characters work together to solve the problems, each using their own strengths.

YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!!!
My mom and dad bought this book for me, and it is absolutely amazing!! I recommend it to ages 9-12. The action and adventure never seem to stop! If you are a fan of fantasy and folklore, this is the book for you. This book is great for lovers of stories about finding who you are meant to be. Keep a lookout for the second book! I can't wait!

Excellent book!!
I can say that my son has read this book, and reread it many times. He says that it pairs together things that he loves, nature and creatures! What I love is that his level of creativity spiked since reading this book! It takes a good author to connect in that way. Our son loved this so much that we made a Gryphon costume! We can’t wait for the second one to come out!!!

Engaged author and awesome storyline!
I love this first installment of Sam London's adventures. The books are written very intelligently for young adult fiction, with mature plot points and lots of action. The author is extremely involved in his reader base. I really enjoy the videos of his book signings and the interviews of kids and parents and teachers who say great things about the Sam London series. The Mythical Wildlife website rocks too, and I love the blog posts there. Keep them coming!

My 5 year old daughter begs me to read her this book every night. She has started asking to go to bed a little earlier (😳) parent win!!! This book is well written and the way the author describes the characters is amazing. We end up talking about these characters after we read, or on the way to school. The best thing is that our daughter has no desire to step foot in another IHOP for fear of running into Trevor the troll ordering the Rooty Tooty Fresh N Fruity!! If you want your children to engage in reading, buy this book- I find myself wanting to grab it and read when she's sleeping.... I hope there is another book coming soon!! I fear the day we turn the last page!

"A+" - me, an adult who reads books
I'm a big fan of action/mystery and mythology stories, and this one sure did deliver. It really is a great mix of Artemis Fowl, Percy Jackson, and Harry Potter, with more likeable characters and less predictable twists. I bought the kindle version, but I love the cover design so much I'll have to order a physical copy for my shelf (and an extra to send to my niece)!
