I have 14ft ceilings. Is this good for a 600sq room with that kind of hight?

We have a house with 3 separated rooms (about 1000 sq feet) and we are finding that our humistat (that we purchased at Menards), is registering a constant 42% humidity in all rooms. I would guess that 600 sq with 14 ft ceilings would get good humidity. I can;t guarantee this for you, but I hope my answer helps you.

What kind of filter does it have

There is no filter . Super easy to fill and clean. I bought this for our cabin which is all knotty pine inside and last year we didn’t run a humidifier and some of the wood cupboard doors started to warp and our mantle cracked from the dryness . I wanted a large humidifier to run while we are gone I filled it a week ago, on low speed , keeping it at 40%, it is still running . I can see the mist intermittently coming out on my webcam .

How long does it take after filling a full tank of water?

I use this humidifier with low mist output for a whole day. It's still producing mist.

Is there any way to connect a water line to this unit and if so, is there a float valve so you don't have to manually turn the water on and off?

Nice try. I suppose this is an inconvenience, but I haven't seen anything that's not integrated into the HVAC that can do what we would like. My unit is putting out some 2+ gallons a day. It's impressive. My wife does the filling.;-)
