Working out well so far!
The media could not be loaded. Updated December 2022: STILL working great! Our dog wears these if we hike on sharp gravel. He seems to be a bit of a 'tenderfoot' and will avoid sharp gravel if possible. On trails that have a lot of sharp rocks or twigs, we put these on him. He seems to like wearing them. I've read that because dogs release heat through their paws, on a really hot hike, you should take the shoes off for the feet to breathe at least every hour for a few minutes. We don't like super hot weather hiking, so it hasn't been an issue for us. We also haven't had him on icy, salted roads or sidewalks, but I've read these would really help protect dogs' feet under those circumstances.Updated August 2020: We've had these since February, and they're still working out well. Our dog seems to understand that he can stand on hot asphalt and not have to desperately pull over to a shady spot. I bought these after talking to a woman whose service dog wore shoes. Anyone who has a dog that must walk through a hot parking lot (or on any hot asphalt) should consider some kind of dog shoe, boot, or sock for that purpose. I had never thought much about it, but now I'll put my palm on the asphalt, and if it's uncomfortably hot to me, it's likely too hot for a dog.Original Review (February 2020): We bought these for hot summer pavement, and the video shows our dog on his third day of trying them out. He did the hilarious "high step" at first, but he's already getting used to them. I'm sure they still feel strange to him, but he seems fine wearing them. The fit seems good (he's 48 pounds and we bought a size 6), and deciding on size is the hardest part. If the shoes are too big, the dog will probably trip on them, but of course, you don't want them too small. The methodology the webpage mentioned (drawing closely around the paw and measuring with a tape measure) worked well. Our dog has dewclaws, and the shoes don't seem to irritate them, but he has only worn the shoes for short jogs so far. At this point, we are very pleased with the quality of the shoes, and early success in having our dog tolerate them well.

They look great but a size too big
The shoes where a size too big. They look sturdy, however dod not have the chance to test them... I would had given them a 5 stars, but they are charging me $6.27 to return the item, which will be deducted from my purchase. Doesn't really leave me the option of exchanging...Update: The shoes are awsome and cute. However, I bought them too big for my dog and after trying to return it, Amazon charged me $6 for shipping. At first i thought this was the seller, therfor my negative review. Nevertheless, I appreciate the great customer service the seller had in responding to the issue. They refunded all my money and explain the situation. I am defenetly buying again from here... this time the right size 😊 thank you for making things right.

GAME CHANGER: The best shoe I've used!!!
UPDATE: The boots have held up well considering we use the daily and he drags his hind legs on concrete and asphalt. For 6 weeks of daily walks, I'm happy with the wear and tear. They are quite easy to put on and off and as long as you secure them correctly they stay on. I'm glad you get 4, so we'll get at least another 6 weeks put of this. We'll worth the purchase!!! See photos for wear and tearMy 10 year old Husky has been struggling with his back legs and they have been dragging on our walks. He absolutely Ioves his walks, so it's been heart breaking not being able to walk as long or much. We found some shoes locally, but they were not sturdy at all and came apart after a few uses. After getting these boots, his pace has increased and he seems to be able to walk better in them. We only use the back legs, but they have helped a lot. They are constructed well, and the rubber soles are very sturdy. They are easy to put on and take off... I really like the ease of the velcro. We walk daily and they have held up well after a couple of weeks of use. I would highly recommend!!!

well made product
These boots are perfect for my both my dogs. They got used to wearing them quickly. I bought the size 4 & 5 for my puggle/bulldog mix and the 6 & 7 for my American Staffordshire terrier.. The velcro adjustments are perfect. Haven't lost a boot yet! I bought two sizes per dog since the front feet are bigger than the back. It might seem pricey to do that but it does give you 2 sets of boots each and since these are perfect for my dogs, I'm glad I have 2 sets, one for each car trunk. The price is fair compared to some of the others out there. They will act funny wearing them at first. I just put them on for breakfast and dinner and they did their high stepping comedy act walking over to the food bowls then forgot about the boots while they ate. I also put them on them and tossed dry dog food on the ground and they high stepped all over the place to get their treats. Now they associate the boots with fun times.

Awkward fit. Don't waste your money.
I measured my GSD's paws, bought the size 7. They didn't fit right, and kept falling off. It was impossible and we didn't make it 5min into our walk until they started coming off. Even with the velcro straps, they just wouldn't stay on. The boot itself seemed too small for her paws, her feet couldn't even get in entirely. Similar when you try on a shoe that's too small for yourself, it won't go on. But then, the ankle part was far too loose. Again, even with the straps I tried tightening around, they kept loosening up and eventually just sliding off. Waste of money. Will be returning.
