UPDATED REVIEW: This product was not what I needed for my specific purposes. I use a Canon EOS Rebel T6i with a Rode Videomic, and when used in conjunction with the external mic there is significant hum in the footage. Without the Rode mic, the hum isn't an issue. Without this cable, the Rode mic isn't an issue. This product just wasn't what I needed for my specific applications.If you are using an external onboard mic like the Rode Videomic, this will not suit your needs. However, for any other applications it should be just fine. I'll probably just use it to shoot stills, if I even need it.Seller, on the other hand, was amazing. After my original review, seller reached out and tried to help me troubleshoot. They thought it might just be a defective unit, and so they sent me another. Alas, my problem was not and could not be resolved, but it's not for lack of trying on their part. Three-star review is on the product for my specific needs, and NOT a review of the seller at all.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Super frustrated, because I bought this for taking video and using the cord creates SIGNIFICANT hum on any footage. Basically useless for my purposes, and even in the answered questions the seller said there would be no hum. I notice how reviewers tend to not mention when, they leave feedback, so some of the reviews are very old and out of date, so to make sure that this one is valid and timely, today is September 17th 2017 and I have just received my AC power supply for my new Canon Rebel T7i camera. In all honesty after reading some reviews of after-market batteries for this model of camera, and hearing how some of them didn't work at all, or they did work but after an error that had to be cancelled and the display would not work for the battery, I was worried whether this product would work at all. Well, the good news is it does indeed work. It fitted the battery chamber perfectly and after I plugged it in there was no error at all. The camera simply powers up and off you go shooting stills or video to your heart's content.I can't say how helpful and valuable this product is. I want to shoot video and lots of it, this allows me to not have to worry about batteries running dead and causing a stoppage to the whole process. You simply can't beat the cost of this item either, specially when Canon wants to charge the best part of $60 for an extra battery. You can't go wrong with this item!

I've been using this for a while now. Great for not having to charge batteries all the time!
