Deer hate this stuff
We have been using this for many years and it is the only thing we have found that actually repels deer. We have found taking a 2 liter soda bottle and mixing it in this, shake vigorously, punching a few holes in the cap,. This is easier than using a spray canister to apply due to the clumping nature of the product. We have found if you apply in sunny weather without rain for 24 hours it lasts almost 6 weeks. We use it on hydrangeas, bedding plants...you name it. Wear rubber gloves because if you spill it on your hands they will stink terribly. By the way, the product is quite odoriffic the first 24 hours after application.

I use this in the winter months and it seems to keep the deer away from broadleaf evergreens. It is a challenge to mix as it is very thick and doesn't blend easily. I don't use it in the summer on tender plants or annuals.

Repellex works!
I wanted a repellent with natural ingredients and chose Repellex after much research online. As soon as I received it I mixed some up in a 2 gl. sprinkler can and treated our flower beds. I am pleased to say that it has worked better than expected and has kept pesky groundhogs and raccoons away. It still works after some heavy rains that I was concerned would wash it off the plants. It is pricey, but it works so well I will grin and bear it. I will be ordering more to ensure I have it on hand next Spring.

Not as good as expected nor advertised
Found that the deer ignore the product within a couple of days. Not worth what it cost. Would not recommend it.

So Far No Deer
I live in the pacific northwest. It rains all the time and we have lots of deer. We have smart deer who wait till you go on vacation and clean out all your plants - even geraniums and lilly of the valley. Anyway - not this year. We applied this extra stinky stuff 3 weeks ago. Our budding roses still have leaves and tulips have survived. This stuff is extra nasty. It makes you gag it smells so bad. It smells like dried blood, burnt garlic and rotten eggs - and that is exactly what it is. So far it works! The smell dies down after a couple of days - but supposedly the deer can still smell it. 3 weeks at still working.

Works in some areas, not others...
Lesson about the eating habits of deer:What is repulsive to the members of one herd is considered a gourmet salad to others. Plants, flowers and shrubs called deer resistant may not survive in your yard. I used Repellex for six weeks, mostly to save my hanging geraniums. I applied after every rain and it worked, at first. Slowly the pink blooms disappeared. Last night, after an application in the afternoon the last plant with a half dozen new blooms became deer dinner. My young Ninebark shrubs, considered very deer resistant, are also struggling to survive loss of leaves. BTW, I live in a forested area so they do have lots of alternatives to chew on.

Repellex works better than anything else I have ever tried
Pro- it works great during deer winter foraging.Con- The thick concentrate tends to be a little clumpy and can clog in sprayers. It will stain foliage a reddish color if you use too much.Don't EVER stand downwind from the item you are spraying. This stuff really stinks for a couple days.

Stink-deers don’t follow
Stink was a great album but now I guess it keeps away the grazers. The product works great. I apply when I don’t plan on being in an area of my yard for the rest of the day. After it dries it’s habitable for humans again.
