Video Baby Monitor WiFi Camera, CAMVIEW Wireless Security IP Camera with 2-way Audio, Night Vision, Panoramic Viewing in Smartphone

Received this camera last night and I’ve got to say it’s not a very effective baby monitor. The camera works fine but the app is lacking. It’s great for checking in on your baby but the image doesn’t always update in real time and i can’t get it to notify me when baby makes noise or starts to wake up which is pretty much the main purpose of a baby monitor. Instructions were not written by a native English speaker so they are hard to follow. I wasn’t really expecting much for $35 but the reviews were good so I thought I’d give it a try. It’s not the worst but it’s not great either. I think the price matches the functionality of what it does, I just think the description is a bit misleading which is why I only gave it 2 stars.

I love this tiny and powerful baby monitor. Actually, I bought this for my cats! The video is quite clear and vivid. I love that it has night vision so you can still see the cats with the lights off. The small size is great for portability. Also, you can push a button to talk to your cats when they’re trying to be guilty cats, HAHAHA. I looked at video monitors in the stores and they are at least three times the price but with same features and quality. Couldn’t be happier with this choice!Just in case you have problems with using this great camera, I’d like to share some key points with you.1. Make sure no special character in WiFi username and password.2. This video monitor works with 2.4G WiFi3. Download "CamView" -> sign up with your email ->upper right corner, add device by network

I really like the camera. The fisheye lense allows me to see an entire room, approx 25 feet wide. However, that’s about all I like about the product. The power cord that came with the unit broke as soon as I picked it up and it's too short to put the camera high, so I had to buy new longer mini USB cords. Also the motion detection feature does not work. I get a notification every minute even when there is no motion, so I had to turn off all notifications. I had difficulty setting up the camera the first time I tried it. It said that it was connected to my wifi but every time I tried to view it on my phone it said "failed". I almost sent them back, since I was assuming poor quality since both power cords broke instantly. I tried to configure it again the next day and it worked. I’ve also noticed that when I don’t access the camera on the app for a few days it like goes into hibernation and the only way to reset it is to unplug and plug back in. Thank goodness once power is reistablished the camera is already connected to the app. Also the microphone on both of my cameras does not work for sound going on in the room with the camera. I have turned the voice on and I may hear something faintly when I first turn it on but no sounds after about 1 second. In my opinion this is not a good baby monitor because you will not be able to hear baby cry when in another room. Another thing to mention is your phone must be connected to wifi to view the camera.

PERFECT for so many things! I bought for my puppy. I can keep an eye on her through out the day and make sure she is OK while I'm gone. App allows you to get a text message when there is movement so I know as soon as she gets up from her nap. GREAT PRODUCT for security too! You can push a recording button or capture a picture of an intruder and even talk through a microphone if you want to warn someone or scare someone off. Great product of you need security, but don't have the money for big security systems.

You don't get everything you need in the box. You get a (very short) USB cord but no brick to plug it in. The manual is written in broken English and instructions are unclear. The FAQ in the back has gems such as "How to do if phone configuration failed always?" Unfortunately the "configuration failed always" and the instructions wouldn't help. The screen shots of the phone app didn't match what was on my screen. Options that should have been there were not there and options that were not explained were shown. After about an hour I couldn't get anything but a poorly worded error message.

The V380 app barely works, and it has VERY bad English translations. Connecting to the camera over the internet only works sometimes (always works on LAN), and the device controls (directional buttons, push-to-talk, etc.) need a complete overhaul. I have tried to look into using different IP camera software, but it will only work with the V380 app.The video quality is VERY good, and night vision is very effective. Sound quality is amazing, and the built in storage and auto-recording is wonderful. I really, really want to give this thing 5 stars, but until the app that is used to control it gets some serious improvements, I cant do it. There are other solutions for this price point that will probably work better and offer software that is more stable.

You really get what you pay for here. The device is ok, but the software is not great. The function of the app isn't very good. The website is difficult to navigate. The software provided by the website to view camera on website is 1) in a different language, 2) the camera won't load on it and can't figure out how to add it. Really not happy with any of the software. You if you want something completely basic to just watch on a phone up, to product is so so. Probably going to return to find a different product with better viewing software.

Pretty decent little camera for the price. Easy setup. If your router splits into a 5.0 and 2.4 ghz double signal like mine does, you can only use your 2.4ghz signal with this cam. It will not work on the 5.0. Great image quality and minimal delay. Only thing is, as a baby monitor, it doesn’t have live sound like our summer infants monitor does. So we can’t hear our kid, but it does have 2-way vocals if we wanted to talk through it. Use an iPad as the monitor. Instructions have terrible grammar due to the fact that this product is right off the boat from China.
