Great for setters and defensive players
The ball seemed lighter than you would expect it to be at first. After some use, however, the weight difference becomes more noticeable. This works very well since it will train your players to start with their hands slightly closer together so there's less chance that the ball will just go through their fingers. I think the weight difference is just right because it lets you toss the ball with a flatter trajectory and still minimize the risk of hurting the player if they don't get their hands positioned correctly. Practice about 20 to 30 tosses with this ball then switch to a regular ball and you'll feel and appreciate the just-enough weight difference. Great for practicing setting and overhead passing of a strong serve or hit. I highly recommend this but always take extra care with younger players to avoid injury.

This is also lighter than the Tachikra which is great for my 9 year old daughter to practice on
I used Tachikara while growing up, but decided to give Molten a try since the club volleyball my daughter trains with uses Molten. This is also lighter than the Tachikra which is great for my 9 year old daughter to practice on. After training her at home for 20 minutes with this ball, we switched to the standard vball and her sets were at least 1.5 feet higher. I was amazed how only 20 minutes could make such a difference. She worked up a sweat too. Great way to help her train to become a setter at a young age. Wish I bought it sooner!!!

Good
I like that it’s heavier than the normal ball, but it doesn’t feel heavy enough until you start using a regular weight ball.

Best setting ball
This is probably the best weighted setting ball out there. The Tachikara version is to heavy, even as a former collegiate setter it is to heavy to run effective drills with. The cover of this ball has a good feel. This ball is also offerred in the NCAA collegiate/international panel shape for ~$10 more if you're looking to mirror the collegiate/international indoor balls more closely.

Decent Training Ball
Unfortunately, someone still has my Tachikara Setter's Ball so I went ahead and purchased another. I saw this and though I'd try it as a nice replacement but should have opted for another Tachikara instead. So having already worked with a similar version, this one is a bit lighter than the Tachikara which is my only issue. If this is your first training setter's ball, it's still great for the price. So with the proper use, repetition and dedication, it does its job fine.

efectivamente una pelota medicinal ideal para entrenar....
muy útil porque mejora tu fuerza en los dedos... una vez que usas la del peso correcto es cuando viene lo mejor porque ya estás acostumbrado a recibir pelotazos mas duros.....
