Works great with pi 4 with an old monitor.

Works well with the Raspberry Pi 4, which is the use case I bought it for.

PROs: Price, build features - particularly like the fit in the microHDMI port of a Yoga2 Pro - which, unfortunately, is rather delicate and easy to break with a looser fitting male plug. Worked w multiple monitors I house.CONs: No documentation included that might describe when the USB power is required in terms or requirements for power (amperage). Also the VGA end of the adapter rattles, appears something inside the case is loose.Could not get this to work with a classroom projector, I assume from not understanding the power requirements. Neither the powered port of the Yoga, nor a 5V/1A phone charger got it to work. As visitors, we did not have the details of the projector for further diagnosis, however the projector worked fine with a laptop w/built-in VGA port.For my primary use case of a 2nd monitor it works quite well, so I’m keeping it, particularly because it really is the most secure fitting to this particular laptop I’ve yet found. I’ve had 5-6 of them, one of which was always loose and eventually broke the internal tongue connector in the laptop microHDMI. Other reviews show it working for projectors so possibly we ran into an edge case/mismatch.

Total plug & play, no worries!

I was able to use an older VGA monitor with a new Pi 4 that only has micro HDMI ports on it. Works perfectly and did not need to use the 5 volt USB power supply or audio cable. I just plugged in the VGA cable from the monitor into this adapter and plugged the adapter into the Pi and it worked. Great way to keep old monitors out of the trash.

I bought these to convert my VGA monitor cables to micro HDMI so I could use my existing monitors with a Raspberry Pi 4. Saved me money, I could upgrade my existing equipment. They work well and do the job. They would also work for projectors or any other equipment with VGA cables. Great product!

I got this to use with a Raspberry Pi 4 (a credit card sized computer board). On this model of the Pi they changed the video out to a micro HDMI port. The monitor that I have available is an older VGA type with no HDMI input, so I got this device to bridge the difference in video connection types. It works just fine and I'm happy with it.

I'm using this for my raspberry pi4, I don't have HDMI monitors so, I decided to buy this works really well. I would suggest this product to everyone who is trying to use the raspberry pi.

Compré este producto para poder aprovechar unos monitores viejos que sólo aceptan conexión VGA. Los conecté a mi Raspberry Pi 4 con este adaptador y han funcionado muy bien. Eso sí, el adaptador se tiene que conectar a una fuente de poder de 5V no incluída, aunque sirve cualquier cargador de celular con ese fin.

Easy to install, despite the requirement of an external voltage (NOT supplied - but cable is).

No funcionó la salida de audio, pero creo que se debe más a las especificaciones de mis equipos que al adaptador en sí.
