Better than folding a mat and pushing back and hanging your unsupported head over the chair edge, or stacking bolsters and folding blankets - although those certainly work. This is fantastic to support the curve of your back as you work on your back bend. It fits easily into the chair edge - you set the edge up so they slide in - and they lock tight so no slip. It can stand alone so you can use it as a stretching bench. It's a great tool. Glad I tried it.

Works perfectly with the yoga chair--I've been using it with private yoga clients. It's versatile and can be used by beginner through advanced practitioners.

Easy to us and practical product.

I just received my back bender and tried it out. I love it. I have thoracic hyper kyphosis which makes upper back bending difficult for me. The back bender attachment makes the upper back bend more available to me and it feels wonderful. It attaches to the ananda white yoga chair. I was able to try out a variety of backbend and forward bend combinations with the support of both props, all more accessible to me because of the support. There are photos on the ananda website of asana to try out on the chair and back bender set up, and the Iyengar Chair for Yoga book offers many ideas that can be tried or modified on the props. With a bolster at your back it offers the perfect crossed legged meditation seat with support after practicing yoga. I love this new addition to my home practice!
