Q: What size should I get for a size 18

Well Im 12/14 and size L was more like UK 10, so going by that I would say try the biggest size I beleive 3XXL. Perhaps check if free returns first. I could get the L size on but very tight

Q: can you wash in a washing machine? Also I am a size 12/14 but most reviews seem to imply sizes are small so not sure what size to buy?

I'm 12/14 so ordered Large size, but it's more like UK 10. I can get it on though it's tight, then again it keeps my back warm. I always hand wash and dry flat on a small airer that sits on the bath edge so drips in the bath.
