DecoArtDA067-9 Americana Acrlics, 8-Ounce, Lamp (Ebony) Black

This brand consistently delivers and is my go-to for dot painting.

I use lamp black in my backgrounds. I ran across Decoart Americana and remembered using this for a toile painting class with great results. I still have the piece I made 20 years ago, and after exposure to sun snow wind etc it still looks like the day I painted it. I find this a more economical alternative to finding black canvases. It is creamy glossy and covers in one coat. Lamp black is the blackest black. It is a great color to use when you want a pure black background. I love my blacks they are the complete saturation of color. Most will have a blue or purple tint when you thin them out which is great if you want that, but for the deepest richest black choose lamp black. The quality of Decoart Americana is a soft body paint with intense pigment.

I used it to paint the back of an aquarium and it went on easy without trouble and within 3 coats it was good. Highly recommend!!

Works wonderfully to paint backgrounds. It is smooth and creaming and so easy to apply. I dot paint and most of my paintings are against a black background to make the colors pop. This size gives me enough to do several 6x6 canvases.

It's the perfect black matte finish for an aquarium background. I used two (2) coats on the back of my aquarium. It makes the colors inside pop, looks clean and really draws the eye to your fish. It's just so clean and crisp to awe and wow people.

Easy to use and works as I intended.

I used this black paint to provide a smooth background to my paintings. I work on Masonite board and this product absorbs well. I only had to use one coat of paint to get complete coverage I needed. I will be purchasing this product again in the future.

this version of black is flat. But if you paint it holds up to finger smears that often show lighter when it happens. For murals it is nice where it will be touched
