I bought this card reader as I wanted to review the photos I am taking with my digital camera on iPad. Camera’s LCD screen is small and you cannot be sure if all your shots are good and in focus. I have used this card reader a few times now and it works well. As stated in description you need to download the app, but pretty much anything in iOS needs an app. Viewing of pictures is simple: navigate to DCIM folder on your device/card, picture thumbnails will show up, then tap one of the pictures to view. You can swipe through pictures or go back to thumbnails view. If you don’t like the picture you can delete it from the card.Copying of pictures is simple too. If you want to copy all pictures, tap Edit, then Select All then done. You will be presented with option to copy to Album that is iOS pictures or App storage. You can also select only the pictures you want to copy (if you don’t want to copy all).At first I thought raw files from my Cannon EOS 5D will not show up but I can view them in the same way as JPG and can copy to either iOS pictures/album or app storage. Perhaps there was iOS update or app update that made this possible as one of the reviewers mentioned they could not copy raw files. That’s amazing!If you want to keep unprocessed backup of the raw file then save it in the App storage. If you copy to Album then some processing is done and final file is saved as PNG – while the picture pixel size and quality are perfect you cannot apply a different set of processing on that raw file.I use lightroom mobile free version app and can import raw picture file from the device or app storage. Then let lightroom handle the processing of the raw files.Thanks for making this card reader available!

When I go vacation I find that WiFi in most hotels is just very, very slow, so backing up photos from the phone to iCloud is not always possible.I usually take many pictures, sometime 400-600 a day and space on my phone fills up pretty fast. I bought this card reader and it solves my “Storage almost full” message. I just plug in the card reader with my 128gb microSD card to my iPhone 6 and download all the photos to the card. Then I delete all the photos I don’t need and clear them from the trash bin. Now, the phone is ready to take more pictures and videos.My husband has Sony Alpha camera and if I want to see the photos from that camera and just take the SD card out and plug it into the reader. I can browse the photos and copy if I like anything onto my iPhone.I really like the product, works perfectly for me.

Product description clearly stated it would read 256 GB microSD cards. Attempts would cause the device to power off and fail. Seller confirmed it may not be able to read 256 GB microSD cards and to try 128 GB. I bought several 256 GB cards for an upcoming trip. I have no use for this device and their false advertising.

This is very versitle and multifunctional. Works on my iPad Pro and iPhone 8 with the addition of the suggested app in the instructions. Gotta have one!

Works like a charm to upgrade phone memory cards. Bag is nice extra.

This flash card is locked, i could not open it. What can i do it? I got message saying error the device is offline.Thanks for respond.
