Excellent heater
Bought to provide some warmth in a Scottish bedroom. Heats bedroom very quickly and works well with the thermostat attached. Takes the chill off a bedroom if on for about 30 minutes. Used once in the early morning when outside temperature was -14C and bedroom was arctic. Maintained a stable temperature in no time. An excellent buy.

Good quality unit, but being digital, controls fiddly
We purchased this to replace and much older model of the same make hoping it would fit the original mounting points on the wall. it did indeed fit perfectly well and it was super easy to wire up as you would expect. The only real downside is there's no physical button for off and on as such because the main control panel is digital. This means it's a bit of a fiddle to set things up first of all all because you have to set the time, the temperature threshold and the daily timings all via a tiny screen. It's probably worth what I'm doing this before you mounted on the wall so you can get a nice and close to the tiny display. The manual is quite detailed but that shows its a fair bit to do in order to set up and if like me you like to switch it off of the wall when you know you won't be using it for a while will it lose all the settings?Who knows it doesn't mention how long the memory will hold. There is also a physical button to turn on one or two elements so I'm presuming this overrides the digital auto section.More testing required since if I leave this on 0 will it mean that no heat happens during the auto switch on in the morning? When do you get the hang of it I think it will be ok and when set up up it should be fairly reliable. To switch it on manually if you want to boost you have to press the keys on the control panel but you must remember to set this back back to auto else you'll get no heat the next time the timer kicks in.One press to turn the heater off does not turn it back to auto mode. You need a further press to go back to 'auto'So a possible 'gotcha' there.I like the feature where you can set the temperature so that once it is reached it will switch the unit off saving energy we and preventing the room getting too hot.All in all they're paying a good brand and I recommend it.

Well made, efficient, lightweight.
Excellent little heater. Very sturdy yet easy to carry. Heat output is very good. A remote control would make it even better as the controls are not that easy to get to when operating.

Doesn't keep to set temperature. Very difficult to set.
Although I set it at 21C, it will just keep the room getting warmer as time goes on. It turns on and off ok, so I am not sure why it does this. The worst thing is it needs to be put on something high to set it because the control is near the feet, so really difficult to change temperature. Why put the control down by the floor???

Very useful as backup source of heat.
We found this heater invaluable when our central heating failed. The heater was delivered only two days after the order was placed, which was excellent. We were so pleased with it that we ordered a second one.

Heats the room within minutes but can be expensive on electricity.

Temperature control module fell inside heater now a manual control heater cheap and tacky
Heat output good but setting the temperature timer it fell inside the heater so now only use it set at 18 degrees and it’s on or off, spoke to Amazon they said send it back, but it’s wired in and screwed too the wall plus post office 9miles away

Failed after afew months but gtee voided because I had used an extension lead.
A very fiddly heater to set up because the programmer is almost at floor level. The power cord was too short for our most suitable location so I used 3kw extension lead with power surge protect which I have done with other heaters in this room and without any problems. The heater failed after a few month's use. I made a claim on the gtee which was refused when I said had used the extension lead. In fairness, the instructions do caution against using a lead or adapter. I have another, simpler, non- programmable Dimplex which we have used in various locations with or without a lead and without a problem.
