Joy For All Companion Pets, Orange Tabby Cat

I got this product for my mom because I was hoping it would provide some comfort and pleasure for her in her nursing home. She has dementia and sometimes thinks it is a real cat. She likes it.The cat is attractive looking but, given that these cats are often given to people who are demented, they have given no consideration to keeping it clean. As a nurse at my mom's facility pointed out - the residents get food on their "pets" and there is no way to clean the "fur" because it is not designed to be removed. Given that the people that would be most likely to enjoy this are also the ones who are most likely to get them dirty, this is unacceptable.As for the movements, the cats eyes, mouth, ears and one leg move. The movements are clunky and loud, attesting to cheap mechanics inside that are in stark contrast to the relatively high price. With my mom's, at least, the leg has a tendency to get stuck for several minutes at a time in the raised position but there is nothing external that is impinging its movements. The cat will sometimes purr and meow sweetly, which is, I feel, what is endearing about the robots. There is a "silent" mode in which the cat will not make noise but will still move. From the time of placement with my mom until now, we have had to remove wet and dried food from the fur, but haven't yet had to replace the batteries.When I researched the options, there really was only a very limited number of options, with the other main one being a limbless alien critter that also makes cute noises and is plush. This market is ripe for better options at the same price that offer patients (and kids) a better experience.

I purchased this adorable, interactive, and quite lifelike kitty as a gift for a 5 year old who is unable to have a pet. She absolutely LOVES this kitty! Kitty now has an honorary seat on the couch and will meow and purr in response to the TV and family conversations. She also rolls over and lifts her paw when petted or given belly rubs. So sweet. The adults in the household are as amazed by this little kitty as the 5 yr old. I highly recommend this cat for anyone of any age… a lifelike experience!Delivery was was rapid too….Enjoy!

This is amazing. I’m a Speech Pathologist and work with patients with dementia. I bought this cat hoping for some positive results and was rewarded almost immediately. I opened the box and played with him for a bit to see what’s what and was taken aback by how calming he made ME feel! Had to curtail the impulse to offer him something to eat. One patient now has his own kitty “Tom” as family quickly ordered one after seeing the bond and reduction in anxiety. I definitely recommend this cat and will buy another. This is a quality product, and while it won’t inspire everyone ( offered it to a patient who never liked cats or dogs..no go), the benefits for others can be immense. FYI I always introduce him as a “kitty robot” and not a real cat. The patients take it from there. 6/5 stars!

This cat was a life saver for my mom. It never leaves her lap. It purrs, licks its paw, and blinks its eyes and meows. She knows it is not real, but gives her lots of comfort. She is in a facility, and all the others love it to. She hads had it almost a year, looks pretty rugged now. Getting ready to buy another one. It is probably the best purchase I have ever made. Trust me you won't be sorry!!!

A little cheesy. I thought it was over priced at first but pleased at the life like responses to touch. My elderly mom knows it's not real but after moving in with me and having to give her real kitty a new home this is a safe alternative that she Durant trip over or get scratched by. It makes her smile. She holds and talks to it daily. Wakes up to greet her kitty. For us it was worth the expense to give her a little joy.

I purchased the Robotic Cat for my mum who has dementia and is now in a Care home. She was missing her cat very much so when I saw this I thought I would see how see got on with it. It has been a complete success!! It does everything stated in the description and is very sturdy. She took to it immediately and it now never leaves her side! She now sleeps all through the night with it, which she never did before and Care Home loves it too as it has really calmed her down. I have already recommended it to other people who are amazed at the response it has had! It is lovely to see her so happy with her new friend!! Thank you Hasbro.

This was a gift for my grandson who loves cats. He loves this toy.

I can not say enough good things about this product. My mother and mother in law both have dementia and they both absolutely love this cat. It does much more than you expect and has a very calming effect.

Fluffy. - or 'Robocat' - is a great hit with my 90-year-old Mum. She has Alzheimer's and finds the cat a great comfort, although we had to mute the 'Meow' as that is very loud. Delivered in good time. A tad expensive but very happy with it.
