Not worth reading
I have read many CP books, but this one was the worst for me. The plot seem hurried and too contrived for the reader to be able to invest any type of emotion in it. I would skip this book if I were a fan, not worth it.

A Rockin' Romance
When you find someone that attracts like no other before you sometimes lose your mind may cause a lack in judgement. That seems to be what happened to Ben when he first met Summer Michelle and the last thing he ever expected to be in her presence again.Summer's world was rocked by Ben before all heck broke loose. Despite their abrupt end, she always saw him as the one that got away. Now having to be near each other 24/7, can they a find a way to get over their past and find a way to work together? And more importantly, will they embrace their desire and build a future?Rock Me is a fun, sexy, intriguing story about second chances and love conquering all. Once I cracked open this book, I couldn't put it down. I love how Ben takes his job seriously and try as he might, he can't deny the connection between them. And when Ben promises to keep Summer safe, you know it's a promise he'll keep. And when Ben promises out of the world pleasure, you know he'll deliver every naughty, dirty desire Summer has ever imagines. The intrigue behind the reason that brought these two back together is thrilling. When you think you know what's about to happen someone comes along to leave you scratching your head.I highly enjoyed Rock Me and can't wait to see what Carly bring us with the rest of this series. It's saucy, provocative, and entertaining. So if you need a bodyguard that will keep you safe and love you like you're the most important person in the world, then I recommend you run and pick up Rock Me today.

Welcome to Alpha Security!
**Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review**What a hot and fantastic start to this new series by Carly Phillips! Rock Me is the first book in the new Bachelor Bad Boys series and it's hooked me right away and I did not want to put this book down!Ben Hollander is a bodyguard who works for Alpha Security. He works with a group of people that are more like family than just colleagues. When new assignments are handed out, Ben's boss knows that he isn't going to be thrilled with his new charge, but he was the only one available for the job. When Ben learns that he is going to be guarding someone from his past, it's clear very quickly that he's not sure how he's going to handle it.Summer Michelle is on the verge of having everything she wants. She could be the opening act on tour for one of the biggest artists in the music business, but she has to beat out another woman who she's been competing with for years. The two were on the same reality show years ago and the competitive spirit of the other woman doesn't seem to have lessened over the years. While Summer is being threatened, she doesn't really understand the severity until her new bodyguard, and a huge part of her past, walks back into her life.Needless to say things didn't end well between Summer and Ben the first time around when their short affair ended when someone ratted them out and Ben was fired from his job. What is very clear once they are around one another again is that they both feel the same way they did years ago. They are insanely attracted to one another and it doesn't seem those feelings are going away. With Ben in a similar position this time will he be able to put his feelings ahead of his job or will duty win in the end?I enjoyed the characters in this book, the pace of the story was great and I also liked all of the supporting characters. I'm definitely interested in what is going to happen with the other members of Alpha Security and if they are all going to get their happily ever afters!I would highly recommend checking out this new series. You won't be sorry!

A Great Cast of Characters to Start a Series
3.5 StarsA couple of weeks ago Carly Phillips offered one of her older books for free on most websites, and I jumped at the one-click opportunity. With Rock Me, Ms. Phillips tells a sweet, second chance story that I enjoyed.Summer Michelle is on the verge of getting her big break after her stint on a reality music show. From an early age, Summer and her parents work for her big break. Now Summer is so close she can taste it. However, she is also receiving threats that make the sponsors concerned. For her safety, they contract with Alpha Security for protection.Ben Hollander is assigned the job which doesn’t make him happy. He lost his last position the reality show because of his fling with Summer was against the rules. Unfortunately, Summer watched him walk away, which only fans his anger and determination to never get emotionally involved with a woman again. He watched his mother break his father; it is what women do in his mind. Unfortunately, when he is close to Summer, his heart doesn’t listen to his head, and he soon remembers everything he likes about this woman.Rock Me was first published in 2017. I read many of Carly Phillips’ books over the years. Her ability to create characters with dynamic personalities that jump off the page makes me come back for more. Ben and Summer are delightful characters. They are both passionate and determined to advance their careers while questioning their personal choices and hurting inside because of past events.I love the secondary characters too. I’m a little surprised that there are only two books in the Bodyguard Bad Boy series. There are so many support characters that intrigue me. I read the second book a year or so ago. There is an excerpt at the end of Rock Me that triggered my memory. I hope Ms. Phillips will come back to this series in the future. There is a little suspense, but honestly, it is easy to figure out who is behind the threats. There is a bit extra added to the intrigue, some family issues all around, but Rock Me is more romance and righting wrongs than anything else. If you have the opportunity to get this book for free or whether you pay the full price, I’m sure you will enjoy Ben and Summer’s story.

A Great Start To A New Series
Rock Me really drew me in from the very beginning and it stayed that way throughout. As it was a really enjoyable, engaging, sweet second chance romance. With likable characters, a story that was easy to read, low angst and one that even had a little suspense. Which when it came to ahead it was exciting to read. As well as being a great start to a new series. Which I'm looking forward to reading more from in the future.**I was kindly provided with an ARC by the Author in exchange for an honest review**

Emmm
I was intrigued by the story and the sample. However, when I started reading the book I had too many issues with the characters to enjoy it. The female character was too annoying. I had to give up.

Nothing special.
It's a bit bland. Read on holiday. Same old, same old. If you need a book that you don't need to really think about this is it.

Nice Romantic Read
This was a nice, easy, romantic read. The story moved along fluidly, was original and believable. The characterizations were good and were were a wide range of characters involved in this mystery, suspense, romance. Within the length of this story, they characters were clearly defined but if the story was a bit longer there might have been more opportunity to evidence growth in characters. I did like to see that both the main male character and the main female character, each had close, supporting friendships. A good read overall.

Won’t remember this book or read it again.
This was an okay, easy to read second chance romance.Cannot say that I connected with the two H’s at all. Found Summer a bit selfish truthfully and would have preferred Ben to be with someone who really cared for him.Fairly obvious who was behind what was going on and everything wound up very quickly without the reader being told what the outcome is, punishment wise.I bought this a couple of years ago and kept putting it down. Tidying up my books I decided to finish it once and for all.
