Relaxing Ambiance, Weird Base
I'm not sure if the salt lamp gives off all the benefits that it claims to (increased energy, cleaner air, allergy relief etc.), however it does light the room beautifully and gives a relaxing ambiance. The wooden base has 3 divets in it, which is shown in the photo however I didn't realize this until I received it. At first I thought the base was broken but this could be a fire safety feature. I'm not sure. It's kind of weird but I'm enjoying it. If you want to try out a salt lamp this is a good, cheap way to try it out. I've had it for a while and use it every day, particularly at night when I'm winding down.

Very disappointed.
Just gave this as a Christmas gift. My son plugged it in and the bulb blew. Very disappointed.

Came in brown box no markings , no instructions . I bought 3 of them for Christmas gifts. Base holding salt with light was either wood or brown plaster. One base looked chipped and crudely made the other two were ok. The dimmer switch is on the cord is a very nice feature. Makes the salt glow at different shades when dimmed. I've seen the same salt lights in various stores like Home Depot or marshalls hit or miss for 19.99 and 14.99. With colorful outerbox and instructions. Hope this was helpful.

Will probably never purchase this again
This worked perfectly and it's very very large, however both sides of mine were completely and 'straightly' cut off and flat which looked a bit unnatural and strange. Wish I had time to return it for a better looking one but whose to say the next one will be any different.

Just got a bad cord, I think.
I want to love this but think I got a bad cord or something. The light bulb flickers even after buying a replacement bulb. It has to be the cord. Great looking rock and I loved that it had a dimmer switch.

I love this salt lamp
I love this salt lamp. Very beautiful and larger than what I expected. You are able to turn it dimmer and brighter as needed. It really does help with anxiety and issues. I bought three now and would buy another.
