I wanted something to display my LEGO Star Wars Advent calendars
I bought this display case to hold my LEGO Star Wars Calendar builds. The size seemed to be about what should be needed, but I wasn't sure... thankfully, turns out that the pieces all fit in! I didn't even have to try more than once to get them in. But be warned (in case this matters to you): they fit in very close to each other. Not much room around the pieces. I don't mind, but I imagine some people might prefer their pieces to be a bit farther apart so one can see the sides more easily.I just plugged the pieces into the base unit (as you can see in the photos), but I'll go back and put some of the ships on 1x1x4 or 1x1x8 posts so that they are raised up and look like they might be in flight. And probably if I put the minifigures up front and ships in the back (and on posts), I could pack the pieces in better without so much crowding. But, whatever - at least they all fit, and that's what I initially cared about!I've only filled a case with the 2017 Advent Calendar. I haven't put the previous years' into cases yet, but I'm assuming that they'll fit as well.I also put the LEGO escape pod kit into a case (see photos) with, just for fun, Luke's landspeeder on top. :DIt's easy to put together, the three levels of display simply make sense in displaying things, and the acrylic sides are very clear and go together well.My only con on this product is that they don't stack and they're soooooooo close to stacking! If they weren't so close, it wouldn't bother me, but an extra 1/16" on the base or a cover that was 1/16" shorter, and these would stack perfectly. I tried and tried to make the things fit together, but just couldn't do it - but the good news of my many forceful attempts to make them fit together is that the acrylic walls never separated in all my manhandling of one of the cases. The price also seems a bit much, but I've never bought display cases before and searching around Amazon, these were definitely the cheapest, so apparently display cases for some reason require a lot of money and these are actually quite a bargain - and a solidly built, easy to put together, sturdy bargain at that.

It's alright....
I like it but I agree with others who say it falls apart a little to easily. I put some invisible scotch tape on it and it's working for me to keep it together.

Not Stackable!
I bought a second one of these because I liked the first. They are NOT stackable or at least only in the sense you can precariously balance one on top of the other so a slight vibration will topple the whole thing. Also, the second one had scratches on the top that were worse than the first one had. Yuck. I don't plan to buy again.--Original--I'm quite happy with the case. I wanted to use it to store some Mega Bloks figures which are bigger than Lego ones so the count is lower, but I was able to fit 19 characters into the case without being extremely crowded. I could likely have fit maybe another 2 if I didn't setup a little battle scene. The reason I don't give this a perfect score is only because the top was scratched which is very annoying. It's not terribly ugly or anything, just annoying. As for the fit, the lid and sides go together really well. In the off chance you consider using it for something I was thinking of, it won't fit the Ninja Turtles Classic Party Wagon. It comes close, but it's an inch or so to short.

Was hoping the pieces would snap together with some friction ...
Was hoping the pieces would snap together with some friction fit and then a small dab of glue would lock it in. Not even close...Very loose fitting. requires a lot of glue which is tough to do neatly on something this clear.

Impressed with the quality!
I purchased this to store my son’s Mini Cars Collection. I loved the way it looked after they were put in. The display case is very easy to put together. But please know that it does come apart very easily, so I used a piece of invisible tape on each corner and that helped! The last level on the back, is smaller than the ones on the front, so I had to put the cars tilted a bit to the right. Other than that, I loved it!

YOU CAN'T TAKE THE TOP OFF WITHOUT THE ENTIRE THING CRUMBLING - PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW
Not sure how this shortcoming and design issue hasn't been more widely disclosed to the purchasing public. Before you continue - if you are okay with reassembling this display every time you open it, or only plan on opening it once a blue moon - this case may work just fine for you.I'm not sure why I assumed or expected it, but I did. I expect a display case like this, for $20, to be able to have a transparent top that can be removed. I want to be able to, or my child to be able to remove the top easily, and put pieces in. Not have to call for an expert assembler adult to come and piece together 4 walls and the top every time the display lid comes off.LET ME REPEAT. THIS DISPLAY NEEDS TO BE BUILT AND ASSEMBLED. IT DOES NOT HAVE LOCKING EDGES OR TOPS, SO THE FOUR WALLS AND TOP OF THIS DISPLAY ARE EXTREMELY LOOSE FITTING AND FLIMSY. IF YOU REMOVE THE TOP, ALL FOUR WALLS WILL COLLAPSE OUTWARDS, AND YOU WILL NEED TO WEAR LATEX GLOVES, OR COMPLETELY SOIL THE FACE OF YOUR DISPLAY CASE WITH FINGERPRINTS REASSEMBLING AND HOLDING THE WALLS STILL WHILE PIECING IT ALL TOGETHER AGAIN.Do yourself a favor, stop here. That extra 5 bucks for the LEGO branded minifigure display - it's totally worth sacrificing an appetizer or extra side next time you go out to eat. This is not the display you are looking for.2 stars not 1 only because you can remove each of the baseplates that create the tiered steps. This can be a single layer, two tiered, or three with the pieces included.

Perfect for BlockHeadz display!
I have been looking for a case to display my Harry Potter BlockHeadz and this one is PERFECT!!! it came in a box and was easy to assemble it. Now I can safely display my Harry Potter without my students touching them!! I highly recommend this case!!!

Great for 1/64 scale diecasts
Bought one of these, liked it so much that I bought 2 more. They are nice to hold diecast cars. Standard legos and off-brand both work with the base. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of them had scuffs on acrylic sides. It's noticeable but not worth the hassle of returning and I can live with it. Overall I really like them, they do there job, and look great on display. I'll be buying more in the future.
