Fabulous (BUT...)
These are far superior in my mind to the Nicros plastic rungs. I dropped one of the Nicros rungs (once) from a height of 4 feet onto a hard surface and it snapped in half. A little overtightening and they may do the same thing. The Nicros rungs also do not have a straight top or bottom edge, so they are difficult to level. The WORST part of the Nicros rungs is that the thickness varies wildly within a single set. In fact, one end of a single rung can be 1/4 inch thicker than the other end of the same rung. The Metolius rungs are gorgeous, smooth, of constant thickness, with a luscious texture, and they have that yummy spruce smell.BUT do NOT center them using the "center" hole. In my single set of 5 rungs, the location of this hole varies by 3/8 of an inch. I drilled all the holes first, then mounted the rungs, so I didn't notice the effect until they were all installed. It looks like I was drunk at the time. Use the ENDS and you will have a good result. My fault for making assumptions, but for Pete's sake, Metolius, make a jig or something and get the holes centered and symmetrical.

You should be able to do about a solid V6 if you expect to campus these
The rungs are classic hard wood style campus rungs. I thought they would be easier to climb, but the curve of the rung takes away some of the surface area so that you really only get 1 pad on the rungs. Feels good and smooth. However, you should be about a V6 climber to pull on these. I recommend the larger ones for V3-V5 Climbers. In comparison to other plastic rungs, these just feel better on the finger without the tearing sensation. The lack of grip does make them more challenging.Because they are just a bit out of my comfort range, I bought some of the stairwell tread tape you can buy in rolls at Home Depot. 3M and other companies make it. Then, just cut a few strips of the tack tape and place it on top. It will stay on no matter how hard you're campusing. Then, the tape comes off without leaving residue. I already tried an experiment and it is as if the tape was never there.Climb on

Pretty disappointed.
I purchased 2 sets of each of these rung sizes. I received 3 sets of mediums 2 sets of larges, and one set of small. Not a huge deal. Sent them back but again received the wrong size. Amazon was great about it. Refunded me and didn't ask me to return the item. Started putting the board together and immediately found that the rungs are slightly over 16" which is an issue if your are using a 4 ft wide board to mount them on. They end up hanging over more than a half inch. Also one of the rungs has a quarter inch flat spot on the holdable surface where all the others are ergonomically rounded. Quite a few of them are superfically dinged on the fronts as well. I contacted the manufacturer to ask them about the size and the quality issues. They said that this is their standard product, none would be considered defects. and if I was building a campus board I probably had access to a saw and could cut the rungs down myself. If o had known this going in I would have just made my own.

High quality, as expected
My favorite campus board rungs. Well made. These are big enough that the emphasis is on big muscle groups rather than finger strength.

Amazing rungs but not screws
I got both the small and the medium rungs because I use them at my local rock climbing gym and use them a lot and wanted them for my home gym. But I got them thought they would be a one person task to put up no you need two people to put these up. But overall nice good feel to them but the screws kept on stripping and nearly cost a rung.

New to campus board but fast improvement with larger set.
Added to my campus board. Started a couple months ago not being able to hold on with feet on board. Now I can go up and down. I have the smaller rungs too but not the finger strength yet. Goal by EOY. Great workout along with pullups other climbing exercises. Will post photo. I recommend going easy at first so not to stress the tendons. Use 2x week.

Nice product
My only issue with this product is the fact that it was shipped with rusted hardware. For most people some rusty screws will not be an issue, but when I purchase a product I expect it to be in near perfect condition. None the less, replaced the hardware and all is good.

Good campus rungs and a great size.
I recently built a hone rock wall and these were great. I had some homemade rungs before this and they weren't as nice and these. These rungs have a nice slight curve so they feel way better on your fingers. They came with all the screws needed and they have held up great. These are way cheaper then sanding and making your own. I highly recommend these because of the amazing quality and strength.
