Simple to use. Very well constructed. Excellent internal mic, and works well with 3.5 mm connector external mics. It will capture voices from an entire room using the internal mic - depending on how you place the recorder (such as on a table or hard surface). Only negative is that the recorder will lose its playback place (a frustrating problem in a long recording) if you turn it off, or even just pause it long enough for it to turn itself off, before the end. I have not found a return-to-point option, so I have to memorize the playback point to fast-forward to when I return to hear the rest of the recording. However, you can easily load the recorded audio file into a computer to jump to various points within a recording, or edit the file as desired. It has replaced my MUCH larger and heavier portable professional Zoom H-6 audio recorder (which has four XLR inputs and recording tracks, complete gain controls and meters) for almost all casual recordings.

The recorder works. Particularly in microphone mode. Recordings are clear enough and of acceptable volume. Its menu structure is not the most logical, and some of the menu entries contain misspellings. But once you wade through them and know where to look, it works. Unfortunately for me, the sensitivity of the line-input is not good. My primary use for it is to record audio from a sound system and the volume of the resulting file is very low. There is no line-input sensitivity setting for the device (at least not that I or the seller can find). And I know that the source signal level is reasonable because I have tested it with a number of other devices and all produce recordings of reasonable volume. I can deal with the problem in post production, but it is inconvenient.

It can only record in mp3 format at 32, 64 and 128 kbps, and in Wav format at 265, 512 and 1536 kbps.You can play mp3 music but the songs are display in alphabetical order and there is no way to organize a play list. I buy this voice recorder for university lectures, so its ok. i recommend to record in mp3 format at 128 kbps, great resolution and low MB per file.

Came in scuffed up a bit like it's been refurbished but otherwise very happy with the craftsmanship; it fits well in my small hand and is perfect for creative writers to store ideas at the drop of a hat.Update 01.21.2018; returning this item as it will not charge. Super bummed.

Even though the Voice Activated feature does not work. And even though the seller is impossible to persuade to respond. This voice recorder has the largest screen there is and is the simplest of all to use. I recommend it for those with poor eyesight.

I love this recorder, I t was difficult to figure out how to use until I downloaded the owners manual. It feels like the body is metal and not your normal cheap plastic, its very sturdy. this recorder is so sensitive it picks up me swallowing and my stomach growling. I hope they get more to offer because I have several recorders and nothing is as good as this one.

The audio quality is no the best, I tried another recording with much better quality at the same price

First major drawback is the size of the buttons and the print on them!( should ship with a magnifying glass)Second major drawback is that you have to 'set it up' each time you want to use it, it does not remember the settings from previous use
