Heating Mantle with Magnetic Stirring, 1000ml, 0-1600rpm, 110V, 350W

Works well. Probably not as nice as more expensive lab equipment, but good for the price. Need an ISO compliant round 1 liter flask. Won't work with the inexpensive Chinese glass sets sold on Amazon. I had to order a Pyrex 1 liter round bottom flask. You can look for ISO standard 1773:1976 if you are interested. I don't know why the cheap sets don't get the OD correct for 1L boiling flasks.

Junk, bought this as an alternative to a digital heat probe. the stiring will NOT run with anything more viscous than water. You put any solid in the way, and it stops running. Tried many different bars, including rounded ones for round bottom.

So I've owned mine for little over a year now and I'll give you the pros and cons Pros: it was affordable, I've had it for a year and the heating and magnetic stirrer still work decently enough to do what I need, decently Durable, I've dropped it a time or two moving it around. Cons: this thing is nearing its end of life, the heater doesn't heat like it use to out of the box and since iv had it, if you don't have a thermometer, you aren't gunna know what the temp is, it's all a guessing game. I'd recommend this as entry. You want something fancy? Get a digital Heating Mantle.

It heats and stirs, but I am not entirely sure what the heat adjustment knob actually does. Perhaps it controls the rate of change in temperature per unit time? It seems to be either on or off, as the temperature just slowly rises. In retrospect, I should have selected the one that has a thermocouple and display. There is no information that tells you what to expect from the lowest vs the highest setting, so I don’t really know what to say about the temp adjustment knob. Does it work as designed? Who knows!

No complaints here. Works as expected.

The box it was shipped in was undamaged and prestige. It would be hard for me to believe the seller was unaware of the dent prior to shipping as the box was fine with no signs of damage(creases,folding). Will update the review if the seller replaced the outer shell. I would hope that it wasn't sent with the intent to claim it wasnt dented.

If you hook this up to a pid it will allow precise temp control. Works great!
