Magical
This is an absolutely magical set and a brilliant way to create a keepsake ornament with your child's handwriting. I actually saw a video on Facebook about this set and decided to get it for my kids. It was a gift from their scout elves (so I left out the book and decided to shrink them once my kids went to bed. It completely solidified for them that the magic is real and they were ecstatic to wake up in the morning and find their letters shrunken. This set is somewhat expensive, but the kit comes with plenty of materials to last a few Christmas's to come and it is fun for so many ages! It's so easy to use too! The kids just wrote their list on the magic paper with the included markers, and then it only takes about 7 minutes in the oven and they shrink to the perfect ornament size. I highly recommend this kit! Even if you dont do Elf of the Shelf in your family, this is still a really fun, magical activity for kids during the Christmas season.

10 out of 10 would recommend!
Our elves left this for our kiddos and I am VERY impressed!!! Totally worth the money! The kids are 5 and 6 and they were SO EXCITED about this. They got it in the morning and I said we would do it after school. They both hopped in the car and immediately brought it up. They also both said they told friends at school about it and couldn't wait to get home and do it. That excitement was already worth it but then when we actually did it I was super impressed! I thought the "paper" was going to plasticy when it shrunk but it is actually even better. It is like a firm "cardboard" when shrunken down. It is very good quality and will be an amazing memento for our tree in years to come!! The story that goes along with it is super cute to! Comes with 6 papers so my 2 kids will be able to use this kids for 3 years! Like I said, 10 out of 10 would recommend!!! Totally worth it in my opinion for a Christmas activity!

Fun for the whole family
My children loved getting this. Writing there letter to santa and then shrinking it down for our elves to take back to the North pole make them so excited and then having them be returned so we can put them on the tree for ornaments is just amazing. Love this product.

It Will Work...Just Trust It...
Love this for my son. We've been doing this for 5 years and I can say all the nice things about how sweet it is to have his letters on the tree, but the most important thing I can share with you is DON'T PANIC. They do crumple first and then flatten out on their own. The first year we did this, 2019, I was very nervous about losing my 6 year old's perfect little letter. I took it out of the oven way too soon. It had shrunk a bit and was crumpled. I was disappointed it hadn't worked too well, but kept it. Over the years, I've learned to leave it in a little longer. Today, (2023, four YEARS later) I wanted to see if I could fix my son's first letter. I put it on the parchment paper, added the press on top, and popped it back in the oven with a prayer. It took about the same amount of time as this year's, but the thing shrunk down perfectly flat. If you have some "oopsies" from previous years, you really can go back and fix them. Baked at 325º. I didn't time them (I think that's what messed up 2019), but just kept an eye on them until they were flat. The nasty, crumpled, "I think I ruined it!" stage is normal. Just leave it in and let it do its thing. When I took them out, I did use a small pot to press it down just to make sure it was flat, but I'm not sure it really needed it.

Actually super cool and worth the money!
I literally audibly groaned when my Elf obsessed kids saw this in the store and expressed that they *needed* it. When I stopped kicking myself for not having dreamed up the Elf on the Shelf empire myself, my husband and I agreed that as my kids are getting older, this really may be a special thing to have to remember their Elf believing days. Well, I have to say, I'm actually really thrilled with this kit. The packaging is really nice and it comes with a beautiful book. I really imagined that the ornaments were just old school shrinky dinks. But, they are much nicer. It's hard to describe but once they have shrunk, they are more of a really nice rubbery plastic. The kids were absolutely thrilled and I know we will enjoy the ornaments for years to come. I'd say this is totally worth the money for any family that enjoys Elf on the Shelf.

Christmas magic
Definitely read the instructions before doing, although mine still turned out perfectly. My almost 3-year-old LOVED the magic! We don’t have an elf, so I left it on the doorknob for the elf to grab when we weren’t looking, and it was returned a few days later so we could put it on our tree! I love that I can see my son’s lists over the years now, and see how his handwriting or drawing skills improve. The book was perfect, too.

Absolute magic! Fab product to create a wonderful keepsake of your children’s creations whatever their age. I have two children so I got them to only do one each and if we continue with that then we’ll get 4 years worth out of this product. We put the letters out with Santa’s plate and then the elves worked their magic once the kiddies had gone to bed (It was magic watching it through the oven door shrinking and changing, I got worried as it looked like it was going to bubble but then re flattened out and came out the oven perfectly.) I paid £16.95 don’t know if it can be bought cheaper if found on sale but I don’t think I’d pay any more for it. Can’t wait to create next years letter dec.

Very nice item for young children. Make sure to heat oven to required temp and wait 10 minutes at least before putting letter in the oven.

AMAZING!! I bought this as I saw Debbie Dingle from Emmerdale using it on her Instagram. I’m glad I bought it! It was such fun to do with my girls and they truly believed that the elfs could manage to carry the letters back to Santa! They shrank well in the oven but keep a close eye as they start shrinking within a few seconds!! Lots of spare paper so we can enjoy this again next Christmas! Worth the money if your children really do believe. Keep the spirit alive!
