Stellar - GREAT value
Looks good. captures great images. Makes me want to shoot more. Excellent pairing with FX3 Easy to use. Wish it were lighter. Wish they made a 24mm

Heavyweight but tough to focus.
I've ordered this lens twice and returned it twice. Ordered it because I the cinematic looking images you'll get are great. Returned it because the struggle, and difficulty of focusing manually, just isn't worth it. My subjects just won't sit still that long.

Great entry level Cine prime!
The value for your money on this is unbeatable. I can’t find any other full frame lenses on the market that compare in value. If you’re on a budget and want to test the water of cine lenses - I say go for it! This glass paired with my Sony fx3 truly elevated my kit. I have miraculously never owned a 50mm prime in my 7 years as a videographer but here I am, finally the owner of an infamous nifty 50!Quality - the weight is no heavier than I expected and the metal feels strong and high quality. There’s a softer look to this lens than a traditional photo lens and that’s what I was looking for. (I also purchased the 85 mm but I think it actually looks TOO soft.) The 50 mm T2.0 looks great closed or wide open.Focus - I got a mini follow focus for this lens and I love pulling focus on it.Overall - I know you get higher quality when you spend more $$ so just know this is entry level but in my opinion the lighting + composition + story is the most import quality in creating a video of any sort. I’m happy to blend those with an affordable lens like the 7artisans 50 mm
