WOW! Haven't bought much audio equipment off of Amazon. I typically use Crutchfield. Red Wolf USB Port Retention cable worked like a charm with my idoing stereo upgrade in my 2016 Legacy 2.5 Premium. I can use the factory USB ports and Aux port without any issues. Was easy to install, plug and play! The years compatible are true, but make sure your radio has the 4 pin connector.

This adapter let me use my OEM USB port with an aftermarket head unit, as intended. My only complaint is that the fit is a little bit loose, which is concerning when this thing lives in the rat's nest of cables crammed inside of your dash. You can always just tape it up with electrical tape, but it would be nice if it had a reassuringly snug fit, so as not to come loose while driving over potholes.

Did I get the same product as the negative reviews? I did, and I had zero issues with it. Car: 2018 WRX premium. Head unit: iDoing (android style highly recommend). Everything fit correctly and tight, nothing was too deep or shallow, nothing broke and needed taping. Another critical review said it makes android auto spotty when connected, I promise the cable has zero to do with that. My android auto, when plugged in the correct USB that came with the radio, was often spotty and I actually have better luck with wireless android auto. It's a common complaint with the android head units, not the cable. Another one said that the cable did not work with their 2019 WRX with Harman kardon stereo, which wasn't true if you read the review it was actually an issue with the Kenwood head unit not being compatible. Nothing wrong with the cable, or the available info on what stereos are compatible. They can't possibly know if every single available stereo for all the vehicles that it fits I made sure it worked with everything I have specifically before I bought it. I was also happy to read in some reviews that this also will work with the factory auxiliary Jack next to the 2 USB ports! I'm happy with it

Cable works, but broke apart as soon as it was plugged in. Had to hold it back together with electrical tape.

Plug and play straight the the factory plug for aftermarket antenna is needed for aftermarket antenna to any double din. Price was ok. Quality for money.

Fit well in my Subaru Impreza 2015 radio upgrade.

Works perfectly on my 2021 STi, both plugs in centre console work again with the after market headunit
