Flight of the Puffin

Amazing book!!!!Please take a look at the perfectly written, to absolute perfect perfection, words cannot express so I have included photos of the text from the first chapter, to show what I mean so you can see for yourself.

Not that well written.

Braden is so obviously an amazing middle school tracher with a heart for students whom don't quite fit. Her charaacters face bullies in school and in life and rise far above them to celebrate their amazing individuality. The Flight of the Puffin is a metaphor for perseverance and hope for very special children. I recommend it for those who want to expand their hearts.

Wow wow wow.Love this book with all my heart!!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜...Kindness and hope and love can literally save lives. Everyone has something to offer. Spread joy!...Seriously. If you need a good cry or need to believe in humanity and goodness again, this book will help.

This book is my 9 year old's absolute favorite... she stayed up late hiding under the covers to finish it. Well written, imaginative and tackled important social issues.

Above all, in this funny, sparkling book, kids follow the compass of kindness, even when it challenges their comfort or expectations. Courage and kindness see characters through to peace, generosity, love, and faith in a world where people care about each other, across differences.

Ann Braden is an amazing author who knows how to explore authentic tough topics for middle grade readers. Her books are favorites of middle school students. This book in particular was a favorite read aloud with my 7th graders. The amazing conversations that were had, and acts of kindness it sparked, will forever be etched into my heart.

The pictures that were included in a previous review are not pictures of Puffin. They are pictures of an adult novel, intended for adults, and posted by a reader intending to do real damage to books that do not align with her views. Puffin is a must-read for all who want their children to grow up in a kinder world.
