100% Lambswool Tartan Scarf by Shepherds Land

I got it to store away as an advanced Xmas present for my sister-in-law, and it seems to be as described - pure lambswool. The colours of this particular tartan pattern are exactly what she'd like BUT my family's name is Kelly and the scarf's tartan's colour weave is also named 'Kelly' but not one I recognise. I am familiar with the slight variations with our family/clan tartans - both in Ireland and Scotland - but have definitely not come across the bright colour combinations in this one. Never mind, my sister-in-law will no doubt be amused by the name it is being sold under and - I suppose - that is why I got it as a present for her - plus the fact that it does suit her choices of strong reds and violet in clothing.Eamonn

…well, Macdonald really, and this particular scarf has been given The Big Thumbs Up by a genuine Macdonald. Not the reviewer but a grateful recipient in the form of the Father-in-Law. Soft, warm, comfortable to wear and a pleasure to be seen around the neck of any Macdonald of any extant branch on a cold and a frosty morning. Oi! Forward!

I bought this scarf with an idea of wearing it over my coat throwing one side casually over the shoulder. Due to how think the scarf is that won't be possible. It is good for under a coat or folded double with a knot. So probably it is my mistake to count on it as a fashion statement. Although I will definitely find a use for it and will wear it with please on some occasions.

First it is very soft if that is you main concern then you will be pleased. But it is very thin and not that warm. If you buying it for warmth suggest you look elsewhere. Also it's very short though to be fair the measurement given on the Web site is accurate. I know that I will need to buy another longer on

I bought this fo the colour which of course looks more rich in the picture and because it was cheaper than a cashmere. It's a good short winter scarf. Not as stylish as an Italian more expensive one.
