Really nice quality for the price
Amazon is overflowing with down and down alternative comforters. It's not an easy task to find one that will meet your needs. At least it wasn't for me! I relied on customer reviews because the descriptions all sound about the same. My criteria were: fluffy, corner loops for duvet cover ties, cotton cover. I determined I needed to go with real down to get the cotton and fluff factor. This is a really nice comforter for the price! One should view a down comforter sort if as an investment...if properly cared for, it should last several years. It came in an unmarked shrinkwrapped space bag. No company name or description. I put it in the dryer for 15 minutes to fluff it up. It did the trick, but I sort of regret this as the comforter started giving off a slight odor of French fries. Not entirely unpleasant but still. I purchased a queen size for a full size bed. It did a good job of filling in the queen size duvet cover from The Company Store. I am quite pleased with this product considering the price and quality. I am thinking of replacing the king size ralph lauren down insert on our bed with this same brand.

Just what I wanted
Fluff out the feathers, connect to the corned in your duvet cover and you're good to go. I sleep hot and this was perfect when matched with my Ettitude bamboo duvet cover. I actually sleep covered with this, great breathability and just enough thickness to feel cozy.

Light feel but still very warm
Clean white color with a light weight feel and yet still warm. It does have a scent and takes a little time to air out at the beginning. I had a some feathers come out but customer service is good and they care about the customer to fix the problem.

Finally someone gets it!
This is the product you find in good hotels - lightweight, breathable, and washable *with a front loading machine.* No smell at all out of the package. Fluffed perfectly after a few minutes on air dry in our front loading dryer. Now for the good part. I live in Florida. It's hot. We keep the house around 75 in the summer. No problem! This thing breathes. You can barely feel it when you're under it. Comfy but not hot.I love it. Very happy.

Good buy
I was a little nervous it wasn’t going to fluff up, but it’s fine fit inside a duvet that’s mainly being used for looks rather than functionality. It’s good either way for the price

What to expect and tips!
The media could not be loaded. I see a lot of negative reviews from people who are clearly new to duvet feathers. If you’re not familiar with duvet feathers please read!CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZEAlways buy one size bigger than what you want. You’ll want to buy a duvet cover one size smaller than the duvet so it will be snug and it will help give more an appearance of a fluffy cloud. So if you want a real queen size I’ll suggest buying a king size duvet to put in a queen size duvet cover. Queen size duvet for a double size duvet cover. California king size duvet for a king size duvet cover etc…NEVER PUT YOUR DUVET IN THE WASHER!Duvet should always be washed at a professional cleaner! Washing your duvet feather can cause MOLDS!!That’s why you need to put a duvet cover to protect your duvet from getting dirty. You’re not supposed to wash your duvet. ONLY the duvet cover! If you accidentally spill a drink etc bring it to a PROFESSIONAL cleaner! When you first receive it I’ll suggest laying it flat for half an hour and shake it to help it fluff. After you can put it in the dryer at LOW TEMP for 20-30min with tennis balls to remove wrinkles and help the Duvet to fluff up more.BE CAREFUL WITH THE DRYER!Always tumble dry at low temperature! Warm temperatures can cause holes in your duvet! Most of people complaining about bad odour have probably put their duvet in the washer. Of course it will smell like a dirty duck if you got it soaking wet! And the worst part is if it’s not completely well dried moisture will be trapped in it and yes it will cause molds … Eeeww just don’t do it!NOISEFor the crackling sound it’s absolutely normal! The outshell is made that way to prevent feathers for coming out. Even my northern feather duvet that I’ve paid 700$ have that crackling noise it’s just the way its made. There’s probably better options now out there for the noise but let’s be honest here a fluffy duvet under 300$ it’s a really really good deal!** My duvet is a queen size and in the video and my duvet cover is the same size as the duvet. There was sadly no double/full size in this colour. It’s still fluffy but it would’ve been even more fluffy with a double/full size duvet cover. I bought the duvet cover set on Amazon too. Brand Serta Colour burgundy size double/queen “but the measurement are queen size” for 55$ approximately.Hope this helps :)!

Horrible smell. Look elsewhere.
I bought this duvet as I’m a hot sleeper and was really excited to try it out.It had a strong and foul chicken coup smell when I first opened the packaging, which persisted after airing it out. I later cleaned it in the washer with a delicate laundry detergent on cold and on the delicate cycle. After it was done it smelled much worse than when I first opened it. I ran a second wash where I used white vinegar and detergent, the smell persisted. I then moved it to dryer and set to the very low setting. I ran 3 cycles to fully dry it out.Once it was dried, the smell was no longer overwhelming but was still there. Definitely not acceptable to sleep under. I left to air out for a few days and tried to use it the night after. While I slept comfortably that night. However, I woke up to the horrible smell the next morning.I wasted a lot of time to make this duvet work but it ultimately failed. I suggest looking elsewhere.Edit: Increased the rating from 1 to 3 stars as customer support was excellent and offered to refund me the cost of the comforter.
