I got this lift when I recently had my garage finished. I have attic storage space but no easy way to get the boxes up the ladder. The lift is awesome. I had it installed and the same day began using it. It is the perfect solution to moving boxes to an overhead storage area. The lift is completely stable when loaded and holds a huge amount of stuff. Once loaded it does not twist or turn when moving and moves very little when empty. The safety chains are easy to hook and unhook. The base is designed to fit most any depth of opening and will adjust so that the base is level with the attic floor. The hand held controller has a removable key so it cannot be operated when locked - a big plus if you have children who like to play with toys. The hand held controller has a really long cord and is designed to be carried up and down the access ladder. I had a hole drilled in the garage ceiling and had the controller cord snaked through that so that it hangs next to the wall in the garage which works well for me. Trying to attach the controller to the ladder mechanism for storage would have worked well except that my ladder/stairs are electric and I was concerned that the cord would get caught in the hydraulics. While I am thrilled with the lift I have, in hindsight, for my use I wish I had gotten the model with the wireless remote. However, either model will make moving boxes to overhead storage a breeze.

Company of manufacture has been great. Mine required a modification part to fit between manufactured trusses. Upfit cost i anticipated. Customer service superb. Shipping by Byers was ahead of time, arrived promptly all three boxes. Wellpacked and all,parts there. Assembly instructions good.
