I rarely give 5 stars to anything. Or write a review so close to receiving a product, but as of now, I am in love with this comforter. I usually need a blanket that's super soft to separate me from a comforter, but this one is so soft and the perfect weight that I absolutely don't need a blanket. I'm not perimenapousal, but I am going through hormonal changes and find myself sweating excessively more then I used to. I am also intolerant of too much heat and too much cold. It's unseasonably warm where I live and my bedroom is also on a second floor. So if someone has a window open or cooks, my room hold in that heat like crazy. Not to mention huge windows that face the setting sun. It can be like sleeping in an oven. This comforter gave me the first peaceful sleep I've had in a long time. Heck, I hate waking up at all, but this morning I woke up with a smile. No sweat. It gets warm when you lay still, however, that was perfect for me because when it was cold at night I just stayed still. When I got a little too warm, I flipped or kicked my legs -boom- cool again. I didn't want to leave my bed at all. It works best with an air conditioner and I have a manual fan pointed towards it for extra insurance of cool-ness. Nice color, no snags...I am waiting for spring sale to buy the sheets. As many people said, price is rather steep. However, I see it as an amazing investment because it'll keep and last longer then most other sheets. It also gets really hot where I live in the summer, so I'll use it all the time.

After falling in love with the REST Cooling Sheets, I figured I’d try the Cooling Comforter too. I went in skeptical (because let’s face it, everything claims to be cooling these days), but I figured if anyone could pull it off, it’d be REST. And once again—they absolutely nailed it. As a 45-year-old, 5'8", 300-pound human furnace who usually sleeps under a fan tornado and still wakes up drenched in sweat, comforters are usually off-limits for me. Even so-called “lightweight” ones trap heat like I’m being slow-roasted. But not this one! The REST Cooling Comforter somehow manages to be cozy without being heavy, and cool without being flimsy. It feels refreshing the second it touches your skin—cool to the touch, like the sheets—and it stays that way. I’m now sleeping under a comforter for the first time in years and waking up dry, comfortable, and actually rested. Imagine that! Highlights: Genuinely cool-feeling and stays that way all night. Perfect weight—light enough for breathability, but still feels like a proper comforter. Doesn’t cling or stick to you like some cheaper ones do. Pairs perfectly with the REST Cooling Sheets for the ultimate combo. I’ve actually caught myself sleeping without the fan on more than once, which is unheard of in my house. And yep, already bought a second one. Minor wish list: Just like with the sheets—I really hope REST starts making more cooling accessories. I need a REST cooling body pillow cover, blanket for the couch, maybe even undershirts . . . basically, I want to live wrapped in this material 24/7. Bottom line: If you’re a hot sleeper who thought comforters were out of the question, this one might change your mind completely. It did for me.

I didn't know what to expect with this, but I was wowed by how cool and soft it is. Very luxurious and silky feel, and it's extremely cool as long as you don't put too much between your skin and the blanket. It may get warmer over time from your body heat as you sleep at night, so don't pack it underneath other blankets and expect it to stay cool. It needs a little air to keep it cool, so make sure it's just you, the blanket, and air on top of it. On especially hot nights, a small breeze will keep it cool, so try opening a window or having a tiny fan going. It doesn't need a lot, just a way to get rid of the warmth your body naturally produces. The blanket doubles any amount of cool air that hits it, so it doesn't take much.

The second it’s on sale, snag your favorite color(s). I am completely obsessed with this comforter. I was very skeptical. It’s cool to the touch but once it’s on you, it regulates your body temp. It is sooooo soft. No, it doesn’t stay cold where it touches your body. Now when I wake up, I’m perfectly warm but never sweaty. I have slept better and through the night. It feels heavier when it’s on you, like a hug! It washes up beautifully! I washed it on cold and dried it on low. I checked on it at 40 mins and it was completely dry. I bet it was dry even sooner. No color fade. I bought the Aqua blue (other side is light blue). It is very simple in design but very well made! It feels amazing next to my skin! I loved it so much I ordered one for my mom and a sheet set and extra pillowcases. I have always used a flat sheet (doesn’t come with sheet set), but with the fitted sheet and comforter, I don’t think I’ll need it. I am so happy with this purchase! I am sure I will buy other colors. Love it!!

I bought this because we sleep warm, it had good reviews, and it was the Wirecutter's top pick. PROs: -It's very soft and comfortable; it feels silky smooth against your skin -It's lightweight and cool to the touch Drawbacks: -As others have mentioned, the cooling aspect only works if you use it without a top sheet. Unfortunately, using it without a top sheet would force us to wash the comforter constantly, which is something we didn't want to do, as it would likely degrade the quality. -Even when using it without a top sheet, it warms up quickly. There's no sustainable cooling effect unless you move around a lot. -While it's not a bad-looking comforter, it's not the best-looking, which forced us to have to put something better-looking over it during the day, which was one more thing we had to take off the bed at night. Putting it inside a duvet cover wasn't an option as it would eliminate the cooling effect. Bottom line: This is a quality comforter if you're looking for something lightweight and soft and don't mind washing it often, and if you sleep hot, it's certainly a better option than sleeping with a down or down-alternative comforter.

I used this blanket last night and woke up sweaty three times until I decided I’ve had enough!!! Then got my thin 100% bamboo blanket and slept through the next 4 hours sweat free! How is this non-breathable fabric supposed to be cooling?? If you touch it it’s cool BUT THIS BLANKET TRAPS HEAT not diffuses heat. I’m disappointed on many fronts, first of all, I have to work all day today in a few hours of miserable sleep due to sweating all night under this thing, and more over it is cool to the touch, is very soft and light weight, and the color is great. But the fabric is like a wind breaker jacket. That doesn’t breath, therefore your body temp shoot’s up as you sleep be cause it’s almost like the body is suffocating under this thing. ID LOVE TO SPEAK TO REST, and see if mine is faulty or what we should do about this premium product? Do not buy it if your a hot sleeper, it will make you at least two times hotter. I sweat three times last night —usually just once but man, miserable. BTW, I am - 57 year old male 6” tall and a slim 165. Not overweight at all and shouldn’t be constantly sweating when I sleep. Not under the right blanket. They should call this company REST-LESS SLEEP

Pro: Very comfortable, Thin but also has a weight to it which comforms to your body, very soothing. Soft and smooth like a hug when you sleep. Cons: "Slippery" when used with the evercool sheets. My partner is a restless sleeper and the comforter slides right off of me when he turns. Also with the weight of the blanket if it goes too much off the edge of the bed it slides right off to the floor. When not used with the sheets I'm unsure if its as "Slippery" so do with that info as you will. On the fence: As for cooling, the comforter seemed warm whitch was ok at first because I go to bed somewhat cold and the inferno comes later in the night. I do think i slept cooler but that might have been due to the sheets as most of the night the blanket slipped right off. I do love the feel and comfort of this comforter but unsure its worth the price for the annoying Cons. Overall: if you sleep alone and you don't sleep next to a "ninja" you will love this blanket!
