CORNER CLIPS WORK FOR ANYONE (EVEN ME) PLEASE READ!! (ESPECIALLY WOMEN:,BC YOU CAN BUILD ANYTHING YOU DESIRE AND ITS FUN/ REWARDING) It’s a GREAT learning experience.I am a 54 year old, 5’2”, 102 lb. RN, WIFE and MOM OF THREE, and a BRAND NEW “wood worker”. I AM INSTRUCTION CHALLENGED, HAVE NO SPATIAL ABILITY, STUBBORN and REFUSE to GIVE UP. I faced the challenge of learning to square corners, while wrestling w/.75” X 36” X 6’ boards. For 6 weeks, I tried to figure out how to have perfectly square corners....I refused to ask for help from my engineer neighbors! I was DETERMINED to build my large shoe armoire without help. I was PROBLEM SOLVING alone. I did finally resort to YOU TUBE. AND THERE...., I learned about CORNER CLAMPS and one week later, CORNER CLIPS. Because I never worked with wood before, I had NO IDEA clamps EXISTED and were necessary for square corners. I was duct taping my corners before w/o GOOD RESULTS; it DOES NOT WORK.. LOL. Armed with my newly acquired corner clamps and a week later, CORNER CLIPS, I tried out both type of clamps:1. METAL CORNER CLAMPS: CONS: - expensive @ $10.00 each ( I bought 8; bottom corners & top corners) - can be a bit awkward - hands are not free to grab drill - CAN NOT SEE 100% OF THE TIME IF EDGES OF WOOD ARE PERFECTLY LINED UP bc clamp position may obscure PROS: - CAN USE WITH DIFFERENT WOOD THICKNESSES - they DO WORK - excellent squared corners2. CORNER CLIPS: CONS: - found they were just a bit flexible if I bent the wood too much (don’t put a ton of hand pressure on wood when putting on clips!!) -NOT REALLY A CON, but can be used ONLY WITH 3/4” WOOD. I have NO plans to use anything thicker - NOT A REALLY CON but, remember to have SPRING CLAMPS to bring corners TIGHTLY together, so the wood touches (spring clamps clamp on to the CORNER CLIPS) (SPRING CLAMPS ARE INEXPENSIVE) PROS: - COMES WITH EASY TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS - GREAT INSTRUCTIOAL VIDEO ONLINE - priced reasonably - EASY TO USE / NOT AWKWARD - HIGH QUALITY PLASTIC -lightweight - storage space needed IS LESS than metal clamps - PERFECT SQUARED CORNERS - comes with clips for shelves - EASY TO CLEAN (wood glue can spread) - choice of # of clips to buy (I bought the largest choice, which I believe EVERYONE should buy) - window is built into clips so wood edges are visible (IMPORTANT TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN SEE THAT WOOD EDGE ARE TOUCHINGI HIGHLY RECOMMEND CORNER CLIPS AFTER TRYING OUT BOTH STYLES. BOTH will give u the desired result, however CORNER CLIPS are much less awkward, hands are freed up to grab glue, drill, spring clamps or DIET PEPSI, TURN UP THE RADIO REALLY LOUD!!They are COST EFFECTIVE.😀REMEMBER😀 IF THIS IS A FIRST ENDEAVOR (as I know from experience), NEW KNOWLEDGE and it’s APPLICATION takes a bit of practice. DONT DESPAIR, even with CORNER CLIPS, if a few do overs are necessary... THATS NORMAL.CORNER CLIPS DO WORK... REMEMBER TO BUY SPRING CLAMPS (I bought a pack of 16 for $8.00 at WALMART) I used ONE on each 8 corners, top and bottom.

The only complaint I had was the fact that I couldn't get it back in it's box after use. A diagram would help. But this product did exactly what it advertised. Love it. Helped me put together a bookshelf built in 1947 that I had disassembled to refurbish.

If you are going to build more than one drawer and you want them all to look identical this is the tool for you !!
