AudioAmp180 is an Applique' Audio Amplifier for iPad 2,3,4 and other tablets. (If you have the iPad Air or iPad mini then see our StereoAmp180 product). It increases the iPad speaker volume, clarity and consistency noticeably. It works by reflecting the audio coming from your tablets rear or side mounted speaker, and changing it's direction by 180 degrees; concentrating the audio forward toward your ears. It requires no power, yet it typically produces about 10 dB of amplitude gain across the audible spectrum, noticeably improving loudness and quality. And best of all the audio is consistent and it comes from the front of your iPad where the video is; clearly associating the video and audio together naturally. It also improves your privacy by increasing the audio directed toward you, and reducing the stray audio directed out the back of the tablet toward others in the room. The patent pending design of AudioAmp180 works with most tablets including iPad 2, 3, 4, Nexus 7, Lenovo, ASUS, and more (tablets between 0.32" and 0.5" thick with rear/side speakers). It also fits perfectly over the Apple Smart Case and the Smart Cover, as well as many other cases and covers. It is made from precision molded ABS plastic, so it won't scratch your furniture or counter tops. The colors match Apple Smart Case and Smart Cover closely. The precision molded ABS plastic has a high quality texture, and no sharp edges or molding flash, the result of high quality engineering design and manufacturing attention to detail. The AudioAmp180 is sometimes referred to by different names, like: iPad audio amplifier, iPad audio amp, iPad sound amplifier, iPad sound amp, iPad speaker amplifier, iPad speaker amp, iPad sound booster, iPad smart case audio amplifier, iPad sound enhancer, tablet audio amplifier, tablet sound amplifier, tablet speaker amplifier, tablet sound booster, tablet smart case audio amplifier, tablet sound enhancer, etc.

Really Improves the iPad Experience, but Keep Spares on Hand!
The AudioAmp180 completely changes the audio quality of your iPad. It's still just a tiny little speaker, but instead of cranking it up to hear something, you can listen to it at probably less than half your normal volume. I have used mine non-stop for almost two years, now. The only downside with the product is that it is fairly brittle. I don't know how that can be changed, without changing the material it is made of, though -- and for the price, it is semi-disposable, I suppose.I backed this product when it was just a Kickstarter. I was really surprised by how much it improved my iPad experience and I know others around me appreciate that I can use it at a much lower volume. Unfortunately, that first one eventually wore out. So I bought a three pack. I have gone through two of those, now. I am on my fourth AudioAmp180.The reason I have gone through so many of these is that the small "arms" that clamp the cone on the screen-facing side endure a lot of bending pressure over the days and weeks. If you lay the ipad on its back, pressure is put on them. If you lean it up against something, depending on how carefully, it can put pressure on them. If it falls even a short distance in the wrong way, it will just flat out snap them off. Eventually, they will totally give.I wish this was a more sturdy product, but I don't know how you manage that while maintaining a product that won't damage the screen or cost too much more. As a result, this does what you need and if you're fairly careful, it should last quite awhile. I seem to go through them about every three to six months, meaning I spend about a buck or two per month to keep myself stocked in these little gadgets. Considering how much I use my iPad (something I never imagined doing when they first came out and I dismissed them entirely), that's reasonable enough. So, in conclusion, these are worth buying. They will improve your iPad experience. Just be sure to buy the three-pack and not buy them individually. You'll want the spares.

i didn't buy it to change my life
I read everyone's reviews. Saw sound bender on shark tank. love that cheesy show. Read that product is a POS. So, I bought this. It's plastic. It stays on ipad. I haven't tried to run with my ipad with this on it. I haven' tried to take it to the extremes. I have simply put this thing over the ipad speaker and have my friends and family say- wow that does make it sounds louder. And, that's what it's for, right? so- i like it.

Decent product at a good price...
...but I felt the product description was a little confusing. I bought these to go on an iPad Air and iPad Mini...and while they WORK, they need the Smart Cover in order to stay in place. All in all, satisfied with my purchase.

Works well
This item works great for the price to amplify sound on my ipad . Sometimes when watching shows or movies even with volume turned up I had trouble hearing all the words but this device does a great job for the price.

You won't be disappointed!
You won't be disappointed. If you have ever cupped your hand around the iPad's speaker to make it louder you already understand the effect. I have an Apple iPad Smart Cover and the AudioAmp fits snugly and stays put.

but it seems to me that cupping my hand over the speaker works better. I know
Yea, they work, but it seems to me that cupping my hand over the speaker works better. I know...you don't want to hold your hand over the speaker for a long time, but most of the time it seems like it's for a short FB clip or something, and I just use my hand if anything. The product is ok, and a good idea, but I don't think I'll be using them much honestly.

Audioamp sound enhancer
These sound enhancers do exactly what they say they will. For those times when you need a little (but not a lot) of extra sound just clip this onto your tablet and you have noticeably more volume.

Thumbs Down
I was very excited purchasing this item as I read all the good reviews. In addition, I saw the SooundBender on Shark Tank. Therefore, based on the above I purchased a pack of 3. Unfortunately, the clamp is not flexible at all. The sound was not enhanced/amplified as described. I threw the pack away with great disappointment !!!!
