better than ever - seated back support
I have been using the Nada-Chair for over 30 years. The same one! So, I didn't feel bad retiring it and buying a new one. Actually, I bought a "used" one from the company to save money (Sequoia Grove) but it really was like new. I loved my old one, but this new one had a couple of changes, all improvements. I have a bad back and I use it every day in my desk chair. It gives significantly more support than any lumbar support that I've ever seen as you can make it as tight as you like, and it stays tight as you shift around. I use it when I sit on the floor playing with the grandkids, and I've used it as a car passenger on long drives (though, it's not recommended to use it as the driver). The changes that I've noticed are: the back support portion is sewn closed so the "cushion pad" and leg straps don't slide around and out - which started happening with my old around a decade ago (which got annoying at times). The cushion is sewn in and the straps are sewn on, so they've fixed that issue. They've added an optional "shin guard" in addition to the knee pads (which wrap around the knees and support your back). This spreads out the weight making it more comfortable. They've added a velcro strap which can go around your waist so, if you feel like getting up and walking around, you can keep it hanging on you as you walk (though it's simple to take off and put back on - unless you're changing locations and have your hands full...I guess?). And, they've made the clip (which optionally clips the legs together, offering greater support) smaller, yet still sturdy. It's truly an amazing little device for anyone who wants great back support while sitting.

It's great for it's intended use
I bought a Nada Chair in the early 90s at a computer show. Twenty years later, I had finally worn out the first one. This is my second purchase. I can attest to it's durability since the first one lasted for 20 years. I use it for sitting cross legged on the floor, sitting in chairs that do not have adequate back support and in my office chair when I'm so tired I start leaning forward and slouching. You adjust the device to best support you in the way that you are sitting. It prevents me from doing any further damage to my back and joints, and does relieve the current back pain that I cause by slouching and leaning over my work. It does have sliding one-inch thick pads for the knees that I suppose if your knees are sensitive, this would not be great for you. Properly adjusted, it does force you to sit up straight, keep your feet flat on the ground if in a chair, and give your back support. It does use your knees as a fulcrum, so if you have problems with your knees, this definitely is not for you. You are in charge of all of the adjustments including the amount of pressure on your back and your knees but I can see how some people might find this bothersome and some people wouldn't mind it -- the same way we are all different about types of collars and turtlenecks. I don't think the chair is meant to use for 8 hours at a time, although I have used it this way many times--for days in a row. I do find it a very useful tool to have around. I was very rough on my first one, and it lasted 20 years so even if you only use it sporadically, it's not like it's not worth the $65.

Wonderful product that lives up to itself !!! Does the work !
I wanted to write a honest review about this product. This product actually qualifies for a 5 start rating. The only reason I had to give it a 4 is due to the price. Considering a make, It is a bit pricey at 60$ Pros: 1) Uniquely styled product that fits the purpose perfectly. Great for lower back, posture correction. After a long time, I was able to sit in my chair for hours without pain (tried so many and found this standing apart, at least for me) 2) Simple to use. Durable 3) Easy to carry. Weightless and good for travel 4) Comfortable sitting in chair and cross legs as shown in product picture (although I find sitting in chair more comfortable) Cons: 1) Cant use while standing, driving 2) Pricey Overall it was worth the buy. Was not bad in any way. At around 40$ or less...it would have definitely been a 5 start product!

Why didn't I buy one years ago!
I've known about the nada chair for a long time, but had no idea how much I needed it. Now I don't want to sit at my computer desk without it. It's so easy to slip into and it givse absolute support and relief for any back stress. Plus, it's portable. I will probably take it with me when I travel.

50 years of pain and suffering created by bad posture now completely gone with this product.
I've been trying to correct my posture for over 50 years to no avail, until I came across your Nadachair product. I've struggled ever since I was 10 years old trying to figure out what I needed to do to correct my head forward, rounded shoulders and lumbar issues. I remember the hours I spent in front of the mirror at my parents home looking at my back unsuccessfully discovering what I needed to do to fix my posture. By the time I finished college, I had even developed a Dowanger's hump on the base of my neck. Even worse, I've seen three differently chiropractors over the years to address the constant back muscle strain, which worsens throughout the day. All "adjusted" my spine, which did not help more than an hour or so. All were clueless about the real solution and were wasted of time and money. I'm also an allopathic physician, who graduated in 1986. Even my physical rehabilitation physician friends focused on the cervical spine - head forward as the key to solve the problem. Nothing they suggested worked. Even they have not been taught about the proper solution. It is amazing to me that the entire medical professional world has not been apprised that supporting the lumbar base is the key to solving thoracic and cervical strain issues caused by poor posture. After 50 years of suffering, my back is pain free, due to your Nadachair. I don't even have to wear the device much more than a few hours of the day either for the benefit to last all day long, as I now know how to sit properly even without active support from the Nadachair. After trying the Nadachair, I thought I'd try a less expensive like product as second unit from Amazon. Mistake. Those support bands were sewn on to the back pad and ripped at first use. On the other hand, the Nadachair is made to be extremely durable, with in this case the support bands not sewn, but instead completely integrated as a loop around through the entire back pad. I also had purchased many other typed of back improvement products (from Amazon and from Chiropractor's offices). All of those were ineffective. Bottom line: This Nadachair product has been a life changer for me. Huge.

Effective and easy to use
This is surprisingly effective. Keeping the lower spine in a proper seated position causes me to have better upper back posture which is strengthening my upper back and neck and beginning to address constant neck pain due to slouching in front of a computer.

so this may be worse for me than it would be for someone else
This offers some lumbar support, but at the expense of circulation in the legs. My legs fall asleep and my hips cramp up if I use this for more than 10 minutes or so. I have extraordinarily low blood pressure, so this may be worse for me than it would be for someone else. But the seat holds the back up by pulling the knees back and out (so if your back pain comes from tight hip flexors and thigh abductors, resulting in an anterior tilt of the pelvis, this seat actually makes it WORSE in the long run). This is an interesting idea, but definitely won't work for everyone.

Really comfortable!
I use this while I'm in my rigid manual wheelchair...I need the dump but it tends to make me slouch and having the clip between the knees is very handy as I have loose hips that make my knees fall to either side. This keeps everything together. Definitely worth the $$!! One annoyance was when I took it out of the package one of the clips was on backward which required some handling to get the cord un-twisted.
