Though I consulted on this book I hadn't really read the whole book from cover to cover. I must say that the author pulls you through the stories very well and holds your interest. Even as a historian of the subject I must say I have learned from the reading of this book. Well done Jon.

Though this book is interesting and well written, it's hard to follow. Instead of telling each story individually he jumps back and forth between the two subs. It makes it hard to follow. You have to remember who is on which sub and which searchers are looking for which sub. Some people were involved in both incidents, which is even more confusing. Really bummed. I wanted to enjoy it, but found myself jumping around...much like the author!
