not only does it moisturize a dry nose, but also it opens up a plugged nose. when I spray in 1 nostril and it runs out right away, i sniff it up and it can work on the swollen nasal gland that is plugged. It works within a minute and I can feel the gland opening.

I used to buy the canned saline sprays and got used to how gentle they were. So when I tried this, it seemed terribly harsh. But the nastiness is worth it. To me, the results are better than the canned. I gently - barely -insert this bottle tip inside the nostril and point it toward the outer side of that nostril. I squeeze the bottle and lightly sniff to draw it in. I repeat this a few times on each side. I can feel it cleaning my sinuses, eustachian tube area, and even down the back of my throat. Then I gently blow my nose a couple times. I use this after exposure to someone sick or when I feel myself "sniffing" too much and therefore, making my ear sore. I think it has helped me stay healthier, helped prevent problems from eustachian tube dysfunction (I used to use a steroid nasal spray for that), and - this is gross - but it's even flushed out tonsil stones I didn't know I had.

Having Sjogrens and dealing with extreme dryness in nose, eyes and mouth, this is a relatively inexpensive way to get saline into my nasal and sinus cavities.... It's a little difficult to squeeze enough up there, but the alternative of the Arm and Hammer pump mister that is very much more expensive, so I keep these in my cars and the Arm and Hammer misting pump by my bed, as it does run down my throat, irritating it. These squeeze bottles work OK as long as your head is completely upright. I subscribe and get 2 of these per month.

I have chromic sinusitis. I have found that Ayr mist(along with Mucinex and steam treatments) works very well to prevent infections. For me, The Hypertonic(higher amount of sodium) works better than the Isotonic. I read in another review about discomfort after using the mist. I used to have the same problem, but now that I also do steam treatments(which I need anyway), there is no discomfort after use. Thanks Ayr for helping me stay well.

I never ever thought something like this could help me stay healthier, plus be so easy to use. I have purchased a Neti pot on two different occasions, but I couldn't bring myself to open either package. The thought of having to buy special water, wash the pot, clean the sink, etc. seemed like it would add so much more time and responsibilities to my already super-busy days, so I returned both of my purchases without even trying them. I need more convenience and less responsibilities. Then my daughter suggested a nasal mist and that's when I saw this product on amazon.com. I use it almost every day and when I feel a sore throat or sensitive ear or stuffed up nose, aches and pains, etc, I diligently start using it (off and on all day long and oh-my-gosh I have not gotten sick at all where I used to get sick every few days and sometimes that would go into a long recuperation (3 or 4 weeks or longer) with no energy, feverish, and horrible aches & pains. To be totally honest, I don't use the product as directed. Instead I tilt my head back, spray the product, bring my head back up before sniffing it into my nose. When I sniff with my head back, it's not a good experience. I'm like that with all nose sprays, not just this one. I also spray several times (head back, spray, head up, sniff) when I use it, starting with just a little bit, then progressing to several full sprays. That way, I get used to feeling and tasting the saline solution and it's not bad at all. I used to use it every morning and night, but my nose, sinuses, and ears are so much better, I just use it when I think of it...maybe every 3 days or so. The fantastic news is that I do not get colds, flu-like symptoms, etc since I started using this. I haven't been sick in almost a year now and it's wonderful! PS This hypertonic mist works better for me than any of the other Ayr mists. I don't like the taste of some and others don't seem to work.
