I bought this kit to replace the lever of my 2015 Chevy Sonic, which was broken and making it difficult to change gears. I was surprised by the quality of the pieces - they are robust and fit perfectly, as if they were factory originals! The installation was simple, even for someone who is not an expert in mechanics. The kit came complete, with all the pieces (spring, pin, cover, button) well packaged. In less than 30 minutes, the car was already working like new. Excellent cost-benefit for less than $10! This worked perfectly for my 2014 Chevy Sonic LT Hatchback (1.4L 4Cylinder Engine). The problem I had was with the shifting button getting stuck ‘in’ when the car was in park and wouldn’t the ‘key’ out of the ignition. This kit worked perfectly to fix that problem! I also found a video on YouTube that walked through each step to replace the button mechanisms using this kit. The tools I needed were: something small and pokey (to push the tiny bar out of the socket), pliers, and a small screwdriver. I also used a flashlight and a little tray to keep all the tiny parts together and visible.

Exactly as pictured and was very easy to install on my sonic. Great quality for the price and you would never know we had to replace it.

The spring and button work perfectly. I would give it 5 stars but the plastic around the auto manual shift button broke while trying to install it. It could be partly user error but I also think the plastic may just be a bit soft which is why I’m giving this 4 stars.

Chevy trax 2017. This is a good product. It does what it is supped to do(fix the beauty trim or the reverse button). But if your knob is damaged, not only the beauty trim/bezel but the knob itself, then better get the full knob which is also available here in Amazon from another vendor.

Ordered this kit after the gearshift button got stuck, marooning the car in neutral. The kit contains all the parts you need, including trim. I found that my original trim fits slightly better so I use the original trim. The only tool that I needed was a very small flathead screwdriver to do the install.
